A Long Nature Walk - Uzun Bir Doğa Yürüyüşü [EN-TR]
Hello dear Wednesday Walk followers, yesterday I took a long walk after a long time. The purpose of this walk was to go to my grandparents' village. I set off with my brother. It has been at least a year since I have walked this far. It was around 5 pm in the evening. The weather is very nice because I am in the village. It is not possible to walk at that time in Adana because you can melt from the heat. This is true not only in the evening but at all times of the day.
I started my walk with this view in front of my house. Walking parallel to the mountains doesn't give you the taste of walking in the mountains but the view is still very beautiful.
A sparrow flew into the angle of my camera and I didn't even notice it. What I really wanted to take was the hill in the center of the photo. There used to be a very big flag on that hill and it used to fly in summer and winter. I have no idea how it disappeared from there. I guess I will have to do some research for that. Because I don't think it was blown down by the wind or something. It had flown there for years and if it had fallen, it would have fallen earlier.
You can see the village we are going to below. It may look close from above but it actually takes quite a long time because the roads are winding. It makes me very happy that my village has so much greenery. The air is very clean and you can feel it with every breath you take.
On the way I came across this building. This building has been under construction for about 10 years and I don't understand why they haven't finished it yet. I mean, why doesn't someone move in? If there is no such plan, why did they build it? It is really hard to understand 😅. If you have any ideas about this subject, you can write in the comments.
The closer we get, the more beautiful the view becomes. I can say that the part visible in the photo is more than half of the village. The thorns at the bottom of the photo are everywhere in the village. I don't know their name but they look like a flower. I can say that it looks like a tulip or a rose. They pricked my hand many times when I was little and made me cry.
My brother walks much faster than me. Either because he is younger and more dynamic than me or because I stop too much to take photos 😂. If you look carefully, the vehicle approaching ahead is called "Patpat". It is made for agricultural operations and transportation. Believe me, you don't want to be near it because it is very loud. The reason for this is that the engine is not covered but completely open.
And this is a water tank. Now you may ask why did you take a picture of a water tank? The reason is that I want to share with you the story I was told about it as a child. When I was a child I used to come to this village a lot because I loved my uncle very much. We always found something to do with him and we had a lot of fun. We still do and we get on very well with him. And my mother told me not to run away from home and come to this village on foot because she told me that this was actually the home of a giant and that the giant would come out sometimes and eat little children. It's quite funny now, but at the time I believed it and I could never really walk to the village. The funny part is that I continued to believe that it was a giant's house until I was 18. When I was 18, I overcame my fear and went there secretly and found out that it was actually a water tank. If you have memories like this, feel free to share them. It will be fun to read memories as funny as mine.
I reached my grandparents' house 5 minutes after I took the last photo and that was the end of my journey. I think I walked for about 40 minutes but I am not sure. It could be 30 or 50. Thank you for reading and I wish you all a good day.
In my last post I said I would give 10% beneficiaries to @pusen. But since it was my first time doing it from 3speak (also my first time doing it in general) I couldn't manage to do it. So 10% of this post will go to him. Sorry for the mistake and thanks again for the thumbnail, man!

Such interesting scenery on your long walk
I wonder what happened with the flag

👍😎👍
Glad the giant didn't eat you...this time. Be careful! lol Lovely #wednesdaywalk.
I feel lucky he didn't eat me. I'll tell the same story to my child and see if he believes it or if he's smarter than me 😅.
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
Your mother probably made up such a story so you wouldn't go to the water tank , it can be dangerorus for small children. Classic moms lol
My goal is not to go to the water tank. I wanted to go to my uncle. But she' s probably scared of me going there, too.
Looks like it was still pretty hot during the walk. Great shots.
Let me show you the difference between them. The first one is Adana which I was working the whole year.
Second one is my village. There is 11 °C between these two place and it changes a lot
Such a great walk, and stunning views.
Aren’t the younger ones always walking faster hahaha 🤣
Thanks for sharing your photos. Have a wonderful day further!
Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.
Yes they are 😅😅. And thanks for your best wishes. I hope you will have a nice day too!

5PM and it still looks hot there. Is it windy?
The history of the water tank is so funny. 😂
I believe I have similar childhood stories too but can't really recall them now.
Can't believe you still believe that until you're 18! 😂
The mountains are so nice in your photos. I think they look more amazing in real life.
Awesome walk!
!PIZZA
I wouldn't say it was windy. I wish it was.
Nobody told me the truth. How was I supposed to know 😂? If you remember your story or share it in another post, you can tag me so I don't miss it.
They certainly look bigger and grander in real life.
And thanks for the pizza. I like it!
It's not windy?! And you walked for more than 30 minutes?!
OMG I will melt in that walk.
Here it's also so hot, so sometimes I bring a USB fan with me or a cold wet tissue.
My sweat won't just stop. 😕
At least now you know the truth about the water tank.
You can do revenge by telling other kids the same story. 😂
It wasn't as hot as it looked. I've seen much worse.
Usb fan is a good idea. I'm not sure a wet wipe would work so well.
I'll take my revenge 😈.
During summer there are so many stores selling USB fans here, even convenience store. There’s still the traditional fans though, but people like the no effort ones so they always have the USB fans with them.
The wet tissues are cool wet tissues, not the ordinary ones you would see.
It’s like they put some kind of ice or something to make it last long.
I wonder how long will it take for the kid to realize that it’s just a water tank. Let’s see 😂
I think they prefer Usb fans because they are more portable.
If they are braver than me, it won't take them as long to figure it out. We'll see 😂

What a beautiful view. I find it curious that if you google Adana only pictures of the city come up and not landscapes like this one. Why is that? Is it in another region?
I also wanted to tell you that I loved the number of trees in the photos. It must be a cool and pleasant place.
Thanks for stopping by, man. The photos are not from Adana. Adana is where I work and this is the village where I was born and raised. If you search like this "Karaman/Ermenek/Ardıçkaya" I am sure you will find similar photos.
Trees definitely have a big effect on the temperature. This makes me very happy too. Have a great day!
Bahsettiğin inşaat ben ilkokula giderken yapılmaya başlanmıştı. :)) Üzerinden belkide 15 sene geçti hâlâ aynı. 😅
