No signs of light
Hi, guys!
So, there's been no power in the house for five days now. This is all after the shelling. They say the transformer in our house burned out, and no one knows when it will be fixed. I think I've gotten used to it, and I'd be shocked if power suddenly came back on. My husband leaves for work in the mornings and brings home a charging station and power banks in the evenings, so at least our refrigerator works, which is at least something.
Working in this environment is really hard. Especially since all the housework that used to be done by machines now has to be done by hand. I haven't tried washing clothes by hand in years; I'd forgotten how hard it is. Washing dishes is also hard; the tap water is freezing. Yesterday we went to the store and bought a huge pot to boil water and wash ourselves. At least that's something.
My mother-in-law might come to visit today. We haven't spoken in years, and it would be funny if we make up today. I probably even need it, because my social circle has become so small. So I'll probably even be glad to see her, we'll see how it goes.
So I'm just trying to move on with my life; we're all in survival mode right now. I was hoping to start the year productively, but I'm having to adapt to the current circumstances. Thanks to our bastard neighbors, we're in a complete mess, but sooner or later it will all end in victory.
Have a great day, everyone!
