La llevé enseguida a mi habitación, que además es pequeña, y encajó perfecto con el tamaño de mi cama. Fue como si hubiera estado esperando por ella.
Después la “decoré” un poquito a mi manera: coloqué mi osito de peluche y mi pequeño adorno del mar, porque los detalles también hacen que los espacios se sientan más míos.

La estrené viendo una serie, aunque tengo que confesar algo con una sonrisa: Chiqui se molestó porque ahora la mesa ocupa su espacio favorito y ya no puede treparse encima de mí con tanta libertad. Me miraba con cara de reclamo, como diciendo que esa mesita no era bienvenida en la relación.

Pero bueno… creo que a partir de ahora tengo mi rincón improvisado de trabajo y recreación, simple, práctico y un poquito mío.

And as sometimes the solutions are where you least expect them, I ended up looking through my mom’s things… and there it was, exactly what I needed: a small table, the kind that seems made for the bed. I picked it up with the kind of childish happiness you feel when discovering a hidden treasure.

I took it straight to my room, which is small, and it fit perfectly with the size of my bed. It was as if it had been waiting just for me.

Then I decorated it a little in my own way: I placed my teddy bear and my small sea-themed ornament, because details also make spaces feel more like mine.

I premiered it while watching a series, although I have to confess something with a smile: Chiqui got upset because the table now occupies her favorite space and she can’t climb on top of me with as much freedom anymore. She looked at me with a complaining face, as if saying that the little table wasn’t welcome in the relationship.

Well… I think that from now on I have my improvised corner for work and recreation, simple, practical, and a little bit mine.
