English Version

Sometimes magic isn’t found on big stages, but in the simplest things around us. These photos I took and later edited in black and white are little pieces of daily life, ordinary scenes that often go unnoticed, but when you take a moment to really look at them, they hold so much beauty.

In the first image, a couple of tourists stop to observe something on the street. I love how they look curious and calm, as if time itself had paused for them. Their faces reflect that emotion of discovering what, for others, is simply routine.

The second photograph captures a moment of conversation on the sidewalk. Two people talking, gesturing with intensity, as if their whole world were contained in those words exchanged between them. That naturalness is what I love: life beating at every corner, the honest connection between people.

The third image carries movement and strength: an adult man holds onto the side of a bicycle taxi, right in the middle of the street. There’s something in his posture, in his energy, that transmits vitality, resilience, and even a touch of mischief. It’s the city in motion, reflected in a single gesture.

And in the last one, a homeless man rests on a bench. His hunched figure, his evident fatigue, contrasts with the passerby walking in the background, continuing on their way. That mix between stillness and movement is also life itself: some stop, others keep going, all sharing the same space, though not always the same realities.

The black and white gives them a nostalgic air, as if they were memories trapped on photographic paper, even though I took them just yesterday. For me, photography has that power: the ability to turn the everyday into something eternal, even if it only lasts for a moment.
