Today was one of those days when your heart overflows a little. I was in consultation, as always, in my beloved hospital, doing what I love most: caring for children. Every single day, they remind me why I chose this profession — why, despite the exhaustion, the power outages, the heat, or the heavy days, I’m still here, wearing my coat and keeping my soul ready.

But today was special.

One of my little patients, whom I recently operated on, came to the clinic with his mom. They were carrying something carefully wrapped, which they handed to me with a shy but excited smile. I opened it curiously… and there it was: this beautiful handmade craft you can see in the photo. A tiny palm tree made from decorated paper, that without saying a word, shouted: “Thank you, doctor.”

His mom told me he spent the entire day yesterday making it, thinking of me. Imagining how much I would like it. And yes… I absolutely loved it. Not just for how creative or cute it is, but for what it represents.

Children are pure love. They have the power to turn the simplest gesture into an unforgettable gift. Today, thanks to them, I was reminded once again that I chose the best path — and that as long as there are little smiles and hearts this big, everything will be worth it.

I’ll carry this day in my heart. And this little gift... I’ll treasure it forever.
