El jueves pasado, mi residente y yo terminamos temprano en el hospital, así que decidí cumplir una promesa pendiente: invitarla a mi cafetería favorita para tomarnos el mejor capuchino de la ciudad.

Llegamos y, como siempre, nos recibieron con una sonrisa. Pedimos un par de capuchinos que, sinceramente, no tengo palabras para describir. La espuma estaba tan cremosa y espesa que terminé saboreándola con la cuchara, disfrutando cada bocado como si fuera un postre.

Como era la hora de almuerzo, también pedimos dos ensaladas césar. No puedo comparar con otras porque es el único lugar donde la he probado, pero para mí estaba perfecta: fresca, con lechuga crujiente, queso gouda y ese toque de mayonesa que la hace diferente y deliciosa.

Para cerrar, nos pedimos dos frapuchinos. No fueron los mejores que he probado, pero igual se dejaron disfrutar y refrescaron el momento.

Más allá de la comida y las bebidas, lo más bonito fue compartir el rato juntas, reírnos y conversar sin prisa.

Definitivamente, fue un jueves diferente, lleno de sabor, buena compañía y esas pequeñas alegrías que tanto necesitamos en medio de la rutina diaria.

Last Thursday, my resident and I finished early at the hospital, so I decided to fulfill a pending promise: to invite her to my favorite café and finally enjoy the best cappuccino in the city together.

We arrived and, as always, were welcomed with a smile. We ordered a couple of cappuccinos that, honestly, I have no words to describe. The foam was so creamy and thick that I ended up savoring it with a spoon, enjoying each bite as if it were a dessert.

Since it was lunchtime, we also ordered two Caesar salads. I can’t compare them to others because this is the only place where I’ve tried one, but for me, it was perfect: fresh, with crunchy lettuce, gouda cheese, and that touch of mayonnaise that makes it different and delicious.

To finish, we ordered two frappuccinos. They weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they were still enjoyable and refreshing.

Beyond the food and drinks, the nicest part was sharing time together, laughing, and chatting without rushing.

It was definitely a different kind of Thursday — full of flavor, good company, and those little joys we so often need in the middle of our daily routine.
