Hay semanas que comienzan con su propio encanto, y esta fue una de esas. Como decimos por aquí, empecé la semana con el pie derecho. El lunes fue todo lo que uno espera que sea (pero rara vez es): tranquilo, sin correderas, sin contratiempos y, como premio extra, pude terminar el trabajo temprano.

Aprovechando esa oportunidad, mi residente, me propuso ir por ese frapuchino que tanto nos debía el destino. Así que nos fuimos rumbo a la cafetería El Regente.

Pedimos un par de frapuchinos que estaban simplemente deliciosos. Pero lo que nos dejó con la boca abierta fue el tamaño de las copas, grandes en comparación a otras cafeterías, y nosotras agradecidas.

Para acompañar, repetimos los nachos, porque uno vuelve siempre a donde fue feliz y en este caso la mayonesa que los acompaña es de mis favoritas, ya que es casera con mucho ajo.

Charlamos de todo un poco. De amores, de dudas, de la vida, y cómo no, de medicina —porque aceptémoslo, los médicos no sabemos apagar el chip nunca—. Pero entre risa y risa, el tiempo se nos fue como volando.

There are weeks that start off with their own charm, and this was one of those. As we say around here, I started the week on the right foot. Monday was everything one expects it to be (but rarely is): quiet, no sliders, no hiccups and, as an extra bonus, I was able to finish work early.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, my resident suggested I go for that frapuchino that fate owed us so much. So we headed to the coffee shop El Regente.

We ordered a couple of frapuchinos that were simply delicious. But what left us with our mouths open was the size of the cups, big in comparison to other coffee shops, and we were grateful.

To go with it, we repeated the nachos, because you always go back to where you were happy and in this case the mayonnaise that accompanies them is one of my favorites, since it is homemade with lots of garlic.

We chatted about everything. About love, doubts, life, and of course, medicine -because let's face it, we doctors never know how to turn off the chip-. But between laughter and laughter, the time flew by.
