Aunque todavía es una cachorra, ya hemos notado algunos cambios: está más gordita, más fuerte y... bueno, no mucho más alta —digamos que su plan de crecimiento viene en versión mini—, pero lo compensa con pura personalidad. ¡Y qué personalidad! Tiene la energía de un terremoto con pilas nuevas.

Dormir como un cachorro no es precisamente su estilo. Ella prefiere estar en movimiento, jugando, mordiendo todo a su paso (incluyendo nuestros dedos, nuestras sábanas, nuestras esperanzas de paz). Tiene unos dientecitos pequeñitos, sí… pero afilados como cuchillas de chef. El amor duele, literalmente.

Y si de fuerza hablamos… No sabemos cómo lo hace, pero Chiqui puede mover zapatos que pesan más que ella. No los muerde, los teletransporta. Uno se va a dormir con las sandalias al pie de la cama y al día siguiente aparece una en la cocina y la otra en el techo, probablemente.

Eso sí, detrás de todo ese torbellino está una perrita llena de amor. Es extremadamente cariñosa, de esas que se acurrucan contigo cuando menos lo esperas, como si supiera que lo necesitas. Aunque tenga el modo “mordisco” activado el 70% del tiempo, también sabe darnos miradas tiernas que derriten hasta al más gruñón.

Y qué decir del apetito voraz de esta pequeña. Si Chiqui fuera más grande, tendríamos que hipotecar la casa para alimentarla. Ella no perdona ni un minuto de atraso con la comida. Llega la hora y ahí está, reclamando como si no hubiera comido en semanas. Dramática y glotona, ¡una reina!

Chiqui nos tiene atentos, activos, riendo y, sí, un poco cansados… pero felices. Es increíble cómo en tan poco tiempo puede alguien tan chiquita llenar tanto espacio. Nos conquistó con su mirada, su energía, su amor incondicional y hasta con sus travesuras diarias.

Even though she’s still a puppy, we’ve already noticed a few changes: she’s chubbier, stronger and… well, not much taller — let’s just say her growth plan comes in mini version — but she makes up for it with pure personality. And what a personality! She has the energy of an earthquake with fresh batteries.

Sleeping like a puppy is definitely not her style. She prefers to stay on the move, playing, biting everything in sight (including our fingers, our sheets, and our hopes for peace). Her tiny little teeth may be small, yes… but they’re as sharp as chef’s knives. Love hurts—literally.

And speaking of strength… We don’t know how she does it, but Chiqui can move shoes that weigh more than she does. She doesn’t bite them—she teleports them. You go to sleep with your sandals next to the bed, and the next morning one’s in the kitchen and the other’s on the roof, probably.

Still, behind that little whirlwind is a pup full of love. She’s incredibly affectionate—the kind that curls up next to you when you least expect it, as if she knows you need it. Even though her “bite mode” is activated 70% of the time, she also knows how to give us tender looks that melt even the grumpiest soul.

And let’s talk about this voracious appetite of hers. If Chiqui were any bigger, we’d have to mortgage the house to feed her. She won’t forgive even a one-minute delay at mealtime. When the time comes, there she is, demanding like she hasn’t eaten in weeks. Dramatic and gluttonous—a true queen!

Chiqui keeps us alert, active, laughing and, yes, a little tired… but happy. It’s amazing how someone so tiny can take up so much space in so little time. She’s won us over with her eyes, her energy, her unconditional love—and even her daily mischief.
