Pedaling Adventures: Mud, Murals, and Mischief
Hello friends, how are you?
I hope you had a good Easter and Easter Monday. I was supposed to write this post yesterday evening, but I was too tired to do so. Therefore, I'm writing it today, when I'm much more rested.
I wanted to share with you some photos I took yesterday during my bike ride. This time, I went for a solo bike ride. Occasionally, I like to do this because sometimes in life, we need moments of solitude to be with ourselves. So, since yesterday was Easter Monday and a public holiday, I took advantage of it to go on this 30 km ride.
By the way, this time I tried out this bike that had been given to me a few years ago, a classic mountain bike with a very lightweight frame. Honestly, at the beginning of the route, I wanted to do some off-road riding. However, I ended up following this cycle path along the Serio River. We're practically in the province of Bergamo.
Of course, I covered part of the route by train, and I even forgot to take some photos on the train. Because I don't know if I've mentioned it yet, here the regional railways provide wagons where you can hang your bike and move around with it, which is very convenient in my opinion. This is because if you intend to start from a certain point to ride a specific equipped cycle path or a certain route, you have the option to pay an extra fee and transport the bike. That's what I did to get to the province of Bergamo, even though it's very close to the province of Milan.
Then from the station, it was about a kilometer, and I rode along this cycle path, which passes near a beautiful castle that I intended to visit. However, since the weather was very uncertain, I did this ride very quickly, and it was already quite challenging because the road was very muddy. Even though I had a mountain bike, I managed to ride it quite smoothly.
Along the way, I also found a beautiful mural where I stopped to take a photo to share here. Sometimes I come across these examples of street art, and I think it's a nice thing to embellish the landscape, of course, if done in the right way.
Thank you for reading this post. I hope I managed to virtually take you with me on this journey. See you soon!
