Every now and then, you have to take care of yourself!
Hello friends of this travelers' community,
For quite some time, partly due to the fact that my mom wasn't feeling well, I've been quite stressed. Sometimes, juggling work with family issues isn't easy at all. So, at the last minute, I decided to organize a reset for my mind and body, and in my opinion, the absolute best place to regain calm and tranquility was to go to the mountains.
As you can see in the first photos, I arrived when the sun was shining on the first day, but the second day was a real disaster because it kept raining all day. I went to a place about three kilometers from the famous ski resort Courmayeur, which is located right next to the cable car that takes you to the Mont Blanc area. Frankly, I'm a bit ignorant because I don't even know the names of these lakes I photographed, but I must say they impressed me a lot with their beauty and the color of their water, which almost seemed artificial.
I had been to these parts in the summer to cool off and escape the heat of the city of Milan, but honestly, the climate has also changed here, and it's quite cold. However, there is always this calm and tranquility that definitely rejuvenates both body and mind.
Certainly, this place is one of the ideal destinations for nature and sports lovers, and soon the snow will arrive in these parts, opening up numerous ski slopes, and I'll probably come back here to ski, a sport I enjoy quite a bit when I have the opportunity.
As for accommodation, I opted for a very typical Airbnb in these areas. It's always a pleasure for me to stay in places that reflect the tradition and rusticity of the place I'm visiting. This Airbnb was a real gem, with its traditional charm and the feeling of authenticity it exuded. I knew what to expect because I had already had the opportunity to stay in similar places in other parts of Italy, but each time is a different and special experience.
The atmosphere in this dwelling was magical, with wooden beamed ceilings, rustic furniture, and decorations that reflected the local culture. There was something truly charming about hearing the creaking wood underfoot as I moved around the house.
I decided to dedicate the day to well-being and relaxation, and what better place than the QC Terme Pré Saint Didier to do it? This thermal site is a true oasis of tranquility and is located nearby, just a short walk from my accommodation.
As soon as I entered the thermal baths, I immediately felt a sense of peace and serenity that made me feel better right away. The atmosphere was enveloped in a sweet and relaxing melody, and the scent of essential oils filled the air. It was clear that I was preparing for an extraordinary experience, but how beautiful is the outdoor pool?
I hope my story was interesting, and I tried to capture the best moments of this short but intense vacation in the photos I shared. See you in my next post!
