Hello, fellow travelers!

It's been a while since I last wrote a post here, shared something. But truth be told, besides being very busy with work, my love for cycling has been growing. So, I try to detach myself from the computer and phone as much as possible, opting to take my bike and enjoy the landscapes and trails around us.

In fact, today I'd like to tell you a bit about what I did this Sunday. I was near the town of Cervia in Emilia Romagna because the day before I had visited some relatives. Since the weather was good in that part of Italy, I wanted to explore the area with my bike that I had brought from Milan.

Unfortunately, I knew that if I returned to Milan, I would encounter rain, making it unsuitable for a bike ride. Therefore, I chose to stay there. In this way, I discovered a new route, guided a bit by Google Maps, starting from the cemetery of Cervia and crossing the Pineta area to reach Lido di Savio. This area is mainly frequented by nature lovers, especially in the summer, so I was almost certain to encounter very few people on my journey.

Early in the morning, I hopped on my bike and took the first trail I found. I thought I wouldn't meet anyone, but to my surprise, I encountered other cyclists. We shared a part of the journey together, a beautiful way to keep each other company.

I passed by the large Casoni, used by local fishermen, even though it's the closed fishing season. I had seen something similar in Liguria, but they are truly beautiful to see here as well.

At one point, I found myself in the midst of a festival, where other cyclists had also stopped. I took advantage of the break not only to use the restroom but also to eat and drink something in good company.

After the break, which was supposed to last ten minutes but ended up lasting more than half an hour, I resumed my journey. I passed by a beautiful church, but unfortunately, I didn't have time to stop. I continued along the river, which eventually flowed into the sea. The day was really warm, with my watch indicating almost 18 degrees.

In the end, I reached Lido di Savio, but then I turned back to try to get to Cervia before nightfall because I had to return to Milan. It was a wonderful experience; cycling for many kilometers puts me in a good mood. Definitely an experience to repeat soon.

Thank you for following along in my story. I hope it was interesting, and I also hope the photos were intriguing. Goodbye, everyone!

I recently took the same decision, I'm coming back these days. I spent two months biking, walking and hiking in my free time, and as a results I managed to see my island with news eyes.
So, I can understand you, and I think I'm not the only one 😁
Then, as a results, you brought us a very nice post. I lived in Emilia-Romagna before the pandemic and often used to bike around, you made me feel nostalgia!
