In touch with nature

Today was a different kind of day—one of those days when you just go with the flow without thinking, simply letting yourself go, walking and walking; even though with this heat and that relentless sun, it’s pure madness, but they say that the most unexpected things leave you with good memories and moments you’ll never forget.

After coming back from my hour of therapy at the gym, I went out with my mom to run some errands. We walked a lot, so we decided to sit in the park and rest. I really like this place because it’s surrounded by trees; there, you feel that direct connection with nature, and I remembered that one of the things people always say to release energy is to hug a tree. So I said to myself, “Why not?” I’m going to do it,” and honestly, it does feel good—strange but really nice.

And just as we were about to leave, we ran into this little friend, an iguana; of course, I couldn’t resist taking a picture of it. I felt like I was out in the countryside, surrounded by nature and its exotic animals, hehe. As I said, it was a different kind of day—one I’ll always remember.

Hoy fue un día diferente, de esos que te aventuras sin pensar, simplemente te dejas ir, caminar y caminar; aunque con este calor y ese sol inclemente, es una verdadera locura, pero dicen que de las cosas menos esperadas quedan buenos recuerdos y momentos vividos.

Después de regresar de mi hora de terapia en el gym, salí con mi mamá a hacer unas diligencias, caminamos mucho, decidimos sentarnos en la plaza y descansar. Me gusta mucho este lugar, porque está rodeado de árboles; allí sientes ese contacto directo con la naturaleza, y me acordé de que una de las cosas que más te dicen para liberar energías es abrazar un árbol. Entonces me dije: ¿Qué tanto? Voy a hacerlo, y la verdad que sí, se siente bien, extraño pero bien bonito.

Y en ese momento cuando decidimos irnos, nos encontramos con este amiguito, una iguana; por supuesto que no podía evitar capturarla. Me sentí como en el campo, rodeada de la naturaleza y sus animales exóticos, jeje. Como dije, un día diferente, queda para el recuerdo.
