In macro photography, we are presented with the beauty of every detail of the subject in the photo. Macro photography usually involves subjects photographed larger than life-size. In this round 155 contest, I want to showcase a photo featuring the oteng oteng, also known as the pumpkin beetle, or more commonly, the leaf beetle. This orange leaf beetle looks like a masterpiece. Every detail of its body, from its pointed antennae to its transparent wings, is clearly visible and stunning. Its bright orange color, two small, jet-black eyes, which perfectly complement its snout-like mouthparts, and its legs make this beetle look like a living jewel.
