My new method of planting my yam seedlings.

Waoh..., good evening Hivers,

Im very excited to be here in this community right now, @agricultural mindset, i have seen the quality works you guys are doing here both to showcase your agricultural creativity and mindset as the name implies, these are great works from great minds, and i love them all.

Im attracted to join this beautiful community by many great works i have seen happening here, the operation feed ourselves and the nation creativities , abilities and mind set as the name implies.😂. You guys over here are really standing up for the name of this community @agriulturalmindset and that's cool.

This is my first attempt in this awesome community, hope im accepted, thank you for everything. My username is @ijebest, right from my childhood i love agriculture, i mostly love seeing seedlings germinating i love that sight, when plants are just coming up for the first time, that leguminous springing of the seedlings creates memories in my mind and i love it.

O well, i have some yam seedlings planted this year, precisely in the months of February and March 2024 i planted my yam seedlings in the cement sack with a very high expectations of a great harvest by nine months time as i was told by my mentor who taught me this method and gave me this mindset.

I'm highly expectant seeing how prosperous and productive his own harvest was last year, im encouraged to go into his method of planting yam seedless into a cement sack. This method of yam planting is strictly done at home near your house fence but in an open space for them to receive sunlight, rainfall and air, it's not an indoor planting method but an out door method, take note.

Method of planting

Here are my yam seedlings and the cement sacks.

I was taught to mix some quantities of
Ashes
Goat poo
Loomy soil
Water together,

Making a thorough mixing of all of them together, then pour the mixture into my cement sacks and start planting my yam seedlings.

I have carefully mixed them together and started planting my seeds as you can see me doing here.

I was still planting them one after the other till i finished planting.

I was still planting my yam seedlings because i made a lot of it, up to twenty cement sacks filled with the mixture, i kept on planting them till the end of it all.

I was also taught that i should place the sacks near the house fence to be able to direct it to crawal on the fence by fixing a nail on the fence wall with a rop to direct the yam growing mouth to crawl through the rop that is fixed on the wall of the fence for it to crawl and grow to full term.

Still planting my seedlings, it's my first experience so i carefully mean to achieve notable results as i was taught hope to achieve it by nine months time because that's when it will be due and i will also come back here to showcase my result, hopefully it will give me the confident to teach others.

Thank you my people and we move forward.

Quote,

"I am a farmer, the soil has been the source of my livelihood from my earliest youth"

I sincerely appreciate this initiative and the initiators, i also appreciate the opportunity to present my own agricultural mindset in this community, thank you everyone, i celebrate you guys.

Well-done. I will be on the lookout for the coming update about the yam growth and development. It is a good idea, with which it will bring out more productive knowledge and understanding about Agriculture more.
