Life Cycles and Stuff

Yesterday, the husband got invited to the mountain for something important and while there, he went around for a little exploration and took photos of things and browsing upon his phone gallery, I was fascinated to see that he kind of recorded the life stages of the passion fruit.

This for instance shows some young buds, others starting to open and one burst in full swing.

Here's a closer look at the insides of the flowers. Sometime ago, I stupidly asked how would this flower can turn into a large fruit. The husband pointed at the little green one at the center saying it's what grows and expands to become the fruit we see on the next photo.

I just surrendered to the thought that only nature knows how.

These are its fruits by the way. We call them the "American" and I don't know why. There are two varieties of passion fruits around here. This one being larger with sweeter pulps and the other type smaller, the skin turns purple when ripe and the pulp are sour.

And the ripe ones. They have yellow skin and pulps too. The old woman who resides on that place passed away over a year ago and that's probably one of the reasons why the fruits are still there because there was no one to pick them up.

Well, that's how the passion fruit lives, kinda. They grow and thrive and then wither or wilt then die for new shoots to come afterwards.

Much like them, our lives as humans also go through a series of stages from inception to infancy to toddlership (I just coined that word, lol), through adolescence, to adulthood...

There are years when we blossom and thrive. There are also times when are our lowest. While others may experience all of life's stages, some leave quite a bit too early and such is the magic of life I think...

Stay fab, healthy and happy everyone! And have a sweet, sweet life!

I have heard of this fruit before, but haven't tried to eat one. Hmmm. It's truly amazing how nature works and the wonder resides in each living organism. Looking at those photos, I can say that from the little flowers turning into a big fruit is pretty amazing.

That's true, just like us. From infancy to adulthood. We have to grow over time and be successful so that we could be beneficial for our family, friends and to others as well.

Too many Elements of life to ponder on. Life is it’s own mystery. The tinny green bud grows to become the main attraction seen from afar. Giving its self away for the enjoyment and nourishment of whoever and whatever is going to sip on the pulp.

That little green one is gotten from the male and female parts of the flower. They come together and make a baby, but not like the way humans do it 😆

That's sis, just like in nature. That's how our lives are and some of them end too soon :( but there must be a reason for that.
By the way, I like the toddlership word, you came up with, haha.

I love picking those ones in the mountains when I was a kid. I love eating them. I think I am the reason why there's a lot of passion fruits in my little town nowadays. 😁

However, the kids nowadays are not interested on the fruits. I am seeing a lot of overripe fruits on the path whenever I go home.

Hahaha you spread 'em all over the place huh! LOL! I used to love the other variety but getting older must have affected the taste buds 😁

Yes, children these days don't seem to be interested on this fruit.

Life has stages of course, we should learn to live in the moment so that we don't feel any regret afterward.

There's a lot of here in the province but the native ones which is the sizes are just small.
In the mini forest beside the river here, some are blooming already. I get sometimes but most of the time I can't because they're too high.😅

That's good to know, at least they thrive also there. I used to like those variety, the small ones when I was younger but not much these days. I planted one in our yard yet don't eat any of its fruits so they become sort of an ornamental only, lol!

I bet the birds in your area loves to stay in those since you're not getting their fruits po.
My grandma wants that also as her plants here because of it's flowers but I said no hihi. It's already packed here with differents plants.

I didn't notice if the birds eat them :) The fruits just fall off I think. The other variety is better I think because we can trim them and keep them controlled and can be decorative hehe

I'm always fascinated by how fruit starts as flowers, the passionfruit flower is beautiful! Looks like it's in its own cocoon. I've never seen the yellow variety.
One of my favourite fruit for sure!
