ABOUT THE BLUE RIVER IN NIGERIA

The Azumini river also know as the "Blue River", because it is touted that there is no other river in Nigeria in Nigeria that is as clear and as Blue as it is. It is surrounded by beauty and nature, lush green and cool water.

The Azumini River is located in Abia state towards it's boundary with Akwaibom state. It have become a resort for tourists because of the pleasantness it offers. The attractive features of the River include the crystal blue colour of the River.

The river color appears as sparkling blue aqua marine ( like the beautiful Caribbean sea of the Bahamas). One could see all the way to the white sandy bottom of the River several deep even at the moonlight .

The River is the most beautiful especially when en the bright sun glisten on the river, it is pure immaculate. When can also see the very bright color stone and of it beds from the surface. The stone is used by ABA glass industries as a raw material. Due to it's simple, but complex description, as it's crystal- clear blue colour catches the eyes from afar and it's calm flow will most definitely attract swimmers and lovers of water to dig in. You can also see the fishes in the River as they pass by.
There are some other relaxation activities that can take place there, like canoe riding, picnicking, grilling barbeques, an other things. Also complimenting the River there is another site where one can stand and enjoy a full glare of the beauty of the Azumini River, which is know as the Azumini Hill. The hill gives you access to view all the angles and the beautiful nature of the river.
