MONOMAD: Mangrove Shoots and other Marine Habitats

The following photos are of some of the mangrove shoots on the estuary coast in my hometown. When the salt water level begins to fall, you will see the tops of these mangroves, and the area will resemble a cluster of small islands with a variety of diverse habitats.

Fishermen often dock at this small island chain and carry out other activities, such as repairing damage to their boats.

This estuary beach will be colored by the appearance of little crab hordes when the seawater recedes.
