Art is everything
It’s amazing how a simple imagination and the hands of an artist can birth mind-blowing artworks and you begin to wonder how the artwork was formed but you just can’t help but appreciate God’s gift to man.
I am not really an art person, I don’t go to art exhibitions as most people neither can I draw or paint but whenever I see a beautiful work of art I do not hesitate to applaud the artist.
I love the fact that there’s no conventional rule that restricts the artist from drawing in a certain way or letting his imagination run wild and bringing it to life. I love how a little stroke from an artist’s brush or a little dot on his canvas can mean something to him.
While we appreciate the beauty of art, from colours to aesthetics and to creativity we can’t rule out the economic importance of art. One amazing thing about art is that it is freely given except those who learn it. Freely given means most artists are born with it, they nurture it and over time they become really good at it. Another amazing thing about art is that a person who was not born with a silver spoon is given an opportunity to rewrite his or her story and that is if he or she is dedicated, this means they can carve out their silver spoon and decide whatever size they want it to be hehehehe😃
Selling of artworks by artists and everyone involved in the business of making and selling artworks has been able to put food on so many people’s tables. From drawing an object in my little room at home I can sell the drawing and make some profit out of it.
Art has always had a major impact on our society right from time immemorial, as it has served as a means of employment for many. Many artists have been saved through art, they get to make money whilst enjoying their creative prowess.
My friend Tayo has benefitted greatly from art, he has been able to sell most of his drawings and with the proceeds from them, he has been able to train himself through school and this is the story of many artists.
The Benin people are widely known for their bronze work and one thing that has made the Benin people famous is their artworks, most of these works are sold overseas and this has generated revenue for the people of Benin.
Just recently I was privileged to go to a Benin art gallery to get artwork for my project manager who was leaving for his home country. The idea was for him to leave with a bit of “Africaness” with him hence my trip to the Benin art gallery.
In the gallery, I was opportune to see different artworks and the artists behind them, as I watched and saw the efforts these artisans put into making their artworks, I couldn't help but marvel at the power of art. Their bronze work is top notch and every artwork they produce tells a story and preserves the Benin cultural heritage.
Each of these artworks is expensive mostly due to the cost of production and the hours of labour put into it by the artisans.
Art will forever be important to us humans and nothing can change that.
All images are mine except otherwise.

Art truly captures the essence of human creativity and storytelling. Your exploration of the Benin art gallery is a testament to the rich cultural heritage preserved through these breathtaking artworks. Thanks for sharing these incredible pieces
You are totally right my friend, art preserves our cultural heritage, 20 years from now everything would still be intact.
Thanks for stopping by my !lady🥰
Art is also a form of expression, communication isn't solely about words and being vocal. It can be impacted with art and most people with the talent for it express themselves so well, you can only admire their work.
Art is truly multidimensional and cannot be fit in a box!
Every art has a message intended to be passed to the public by the artist. These arts imbedded in your post are too good, are you an artist?
No I am not. I went to an art gallery, I was opportune to take a pictures of them.
How much art has evolved. I live in a house with an artist and it's only proper that this art robs off on me too, 😄.
I'm one to appreciate beauty and artworks always tick the beauty category for me due to their uniqueness
That explains alot Wongi!
Exactly nothing can devalue the importance of arts
Yeah nothing can!

I love anything art. These works are really awesome with details, especially Tayo's drawing. Just like writing, drawing and sculpting are a means of expressing the thoughts of the mind.
