Walking through the rural areas of my city, Ciego de Ávila, Cuba: Sports stadiums, squares and tradition among palm trees. [ENG] [ESP]

Hello travelers of the @worldmappin community!
Today, I have the pleasure of inviting you to journey and walk through the most rural and semi-urban areas of my province, Ciego de Ávila, Cuba. I will show you some sports stadiums on the outskirts, simple parks and quiet corners until sunset.
I hope you like the tropical palm trees and enjoy each of these rustic landscapes and buildings. Join me on this wonderful tour!

I always appreciate these walks at the end of the day; they help me unwind from the daily stress and are good for my health.
This time I'm on the outskirts of my city, an ideal route for lovers of long walks. The following images show the complete abandonment of an amphitheater where musical notes once reigned and many shows with the nation's great artists took place. Now, all that remains are the sad images of vandalism and neglect by the state of Ciego de Ávila.

I don't know if you have ever noticed these towers? Typical throughout Cuba, they are for potable water, made of concrete, seen in rural and peripheral areas, rising above the nurseries, urban farms, and farms around the city.
Right now, the water situation in the province is critical, on top of the climate which hasn't seen rain for months, so it is supplying several population regions.

One of the flagship centers for Cuban sports is the Beach Volleyball stadium... with no beach? Haha, in my town. The facility allows for the preparation of the Cuban national team for national and international competitions.
It's very traditional, from its stands for the public to the sea sand and the palm trees that give it a beach-like atmosphere.

This simple park is located very close to the Cuban post office. It features tall palm trees and tropical vegetation that frame much of the landscape, creating a natural and warm atmosphere.
It has cement benches and pathways surrounded by trees, which convey the feeling of a community space used for resting and for friends or couples to meet up.

The golden sunlight of the sunset bathes the trunks and foliage, giving the walk a more serene air.
There are vast expanses of grass and grounds for playing sports. The photographs express a serene horizon, ideal for disconnecting and connecting with the nature of Ciego de Ávila.

I really liked these next photos of the Baseball Stadium, with the sun setting behind the stands of fans of this sport. It is the main baseball facility in the province.

Continuing with the walk, we passed by the legal center, with a long street leading to the sports school and residential buildings in the distance, showing the transition between the rural and urban areas of the region.
The photos convey a sense of peace while walking these paths; the breeze of the pure air while running, and the tranquility is incredible.

We arrived at the Giraldo Córdova Cardín Multipurpose Hall, a place for basketball lovers. It has its court and hoops for games.
I should mention that although it's used for the national basketball league, it has also hosted boxing events, the National Circus of Cuba, and some aerial festivals. It's very entertaining; I used to love coming here to spend time when I was young.

Near the stadium, there are also several urban buildings, with the main one featuring a colorful mural of the athlete Mijail López. Without a doubt, he is a living legend of Cuban sports: a 3-time Olympic champion, 5-time world champion, 4-time Pan American champion, and the winner of multiple world medals in his style of Greco-Roman wrestling.
This banner adds an urban touch to the more open area, among some street art and a bit of litter visible in the photo, due to the fertilization activities in that town.

This is the official entrance to the baseball stadium. Remember, this tour covered 8 km through the more rural outskirts of the city. But now, entering the town, this is its main entrance.
The facility features a bar, a cafeteria, a press room, radio and television broadcast booths, as well as meeting rooms. Its primary focus is hosting baseball games for the Cuban National Series.

In conclusion, you can see a province that offers the experience of walking through tranquil, green, and open areas, where nature, sports, parks, community spaces, and the city's daily life all coexist.

Do you live near the stadium?
About 2 km from the baseball and volleyball stadium, and 4 km from the basketball one. But relatively close @glowinthelight. Greetings and have a nice day ☺️🤝
Hi , you might want to check your witness votes , i saw your name voting for a witness that is no longer active ;)
on https://primersion.com/witnesses you can see what witnesses you voted for are no longer active
It won't open in my country, it's restricted @stresskiller? 🙁
you can always try https://peakd.com/me/witnesses
What do I do there?? I don't understand anything. These are communities.
you should see something like this :
The light blue V fields mean you voted for that witness , and you have 30 votes used at the moment .
some of them will have a red dot in the row , those are inactive witness servers and don't need your vote anymore.
A screen shot from the other website shows that the top 8 on that image are no longer active .

I don't know what any of that means. All this blockchain stuff is new to me; I don't like to mess with things without understanding. Can you explain what it is? Maybe I tried it once, but I don't remember."
you must have used it in the past some how , other wise there wouldn't be any votes from you on other witnesses .
And i do understand that it can confuse you . And you are right to be carefull .
There are +/- 99 witness servers active on Hive at the moment , they create the blockchain as we know it .
The list that i showed you are the witnesses , some people stopped being a witness for whatever reason , you are still voting for those that stopped , while others that are still active could use that vote .
at the yellow arrow is the column where you place or remove your vote by clicking on it .
At the red arrow that light blue square means you have voted for that witness if the dot in the middle is red or orange it means that that witness is no longer active . So you could remove that vote and place it on a witness with a green dot .
Check it again for me, bro, I already fixed and modified it. Let me know if I missed anything or if everything's good now!! 🤝🙏 @stresskiller
It looks good for me , and thank you for your vote , much appreciated .
I like to be grateful to those who help me on Hive, which is very new to me. Let me follow you too—I don't think I am yet—and I love seeing your mushroom posts on Fridays!! 🫶😉🤝. Greetings, bro. If you see anything wrong on my profile, let me know; I'll always appreciate it.

Saludos bro y feliz semana !! 😉🤝
Seguiré expresando mi ciudad a capa y espada jjjj. Saludos y feliz día bro !!! 😉🤝🙏
