Weekend with my friends. What better thing than to enjoy a weekend full of laughter, delicious meals and watching the Miss Universe together?

The main idea of this weekend was to see the Miss Universe show in my apartment, a few weeks ago my friend told me that he wanted to see the Miss Universe with my friend and I, we wanted to enjoy Saturday night. Saturday arrived and you won't believe it, I didn't have water and it was gone throughout the building, I was a little embarrassed that my friends were here and I didn't have the most indispensable resource in lifewater.

Even so, my friends came, first Miguel arrived, one of my great friends in life thanks to the University, he arrived at lunch time and since I didn't have water and my water tank was running out, we decided to go to the Shopping Center History in Mérida, where there is a restaurant that sells executive lunches for $3.5 and they are super good.

The nice thing about going out is that we found the pleasant surprise that on Saturday the Day of the Virgin of the Rosary of Chiquinquirá was being celebrated, the squares of Mérida were full of people walking and singing Christmas carols. I loved seeing the walk with the Virgin because it is a beautiful tradition, people applaud, dance, play music, laugh and it is glorious to see the city of knights so happy.

Fin de semana con mis amigos ¿Qué mejor cosa, que disfrutar un fin de semana lleno de risas, deliciosas comidas y ver el Miss Universo juntos?

La idea principal de este fin de semana era ver el show del Miss Universo en mi apartamento, hace unas semanas mi amigo me dijo que quería ver el Miss Universo con mi amiga y yo, queríamos disfrutar la noche del sábado. Llegó el día sábado y no me lo van a creer, no tenía agua y se había ido en todo el edificio, me daba un poco de vergüenza que mis amigos estuviesen acá y no tuviese el recurso más indispensable de la vida agua.

Aun así, mis amigos vinieron, primero llegó Miguel, uno de mis grandes amigos de la vida gracias a la Universidad, él llegó a la hora del almuerzo y como no tenía agua y mi tanque de agua se estaba acabando, decidimos ir al Centro Comercial el History de Mérida, donde existe un restaurante que venden almuerzos ejecutivos en $3.5 y son super buenos.

Lo bonito de salir es que nos encontramos con la grata sorpresa de que el sábado se estaba celebrando el Día de la Virgen del Rosario de Chiquinquirá, las plazas de Mérida estaban full de gente caminando y cantando los villancicos. Adoré ver la caminata con la Virgen porque es una tradición hermosa, la gente aplaude, baila, toca música, se ríen y es glorioso de ver la ciudad de los caballeros tan alegre.

We arrived at the Shopping Center and it had already decorated several floors of the place, Christmas for me is incredible and I don't know why, but in Mérida it feels great because they are more dedicated to the celebration of baby Jesus and the new year. I took photos with my friend Miguel, although he is not a lover of photos, I was able to take some of him as a souvenir.

We ordered the food which consisted of rice, salad, slices and whatever protein one wanted such as grilled chicken or grilled meat, in addition the dish came with potato, chicken and pumpkin soup, it also came with guava juice which was divine. The food at this restaurant is delicious, it is super economical and it really fills the stomach in a matter of minutes, it is not a bad investment because I am still a university student and it is cheaper for me.

Click aquí para la versión en español Pedimos la comida que consistía en arroz, ensalada, rajas y cualquier proteína que uno quisiera como pollo asado o carne asada, además el plato venía con sopa de papa, pollo y calabaza, también venía con jugo de guayaba que estaba divino. La comida de este restaurante es deliciosa, es súper económica y realmente llena el estómago en cuestión de minutos, no es mala inversión porque todavía soy estudiante universitario y me sale más barato.

After eating, we went to the apartment and waited for the night to arrive and for our friend to arrive, she arrived late and at 9:00pm the Miss Universe competition began, we were all in the room watching television with the light off, it was exciting and we were Everyone was nervous about our country Venezuela since there was a lot of competition for the other participants.

In the end, Venezuela did not qualify for the Top 5 and that hurt us a lot because we knew that she had a lot to give, we gave up and just finished seeing who would be the winner and from the beginning, I always knew it would be Nicaragua because it was my second favorite, I hope that everyone in Nicaragua is celebrating that crown loudly. Congratulations to Nicaragua!

Today is Sunday, I woke up and saw my friend sleeping, it makes me so tender because she looks like a fairy, so I took a photo of her and like the background of the sun, it gave her that special touch of Sunday, I wanted to keep that moment as a memory. Click aquí para la versión en español Después de comer nos dirigimos al departamento y esperamos que llegara la noche y que llegara nuestra amiga, ella llegó tarde y a las 9:00 pm comenzó el concurso de Miss Universo, estábamos todos en la habitación viendo la televisión con la luz apagada, Fue emocionante y todos estábamos nerviosos por nuestro país Venezuela ya que había mucha competencia para los demás participantes.

Al final Venezuela no clasificó al Top 5 y eso nos dolió mucho porque sabíamos que ella tenía mucho para dar, nos dimos por vencidos y recién terminamos de ver quién sería el ganador y desde el principio siempre lo supe. Sería Nicaragua porque era mi segundo favorito, espero que todos en Nicaragua estén celebrando esa corona a viva voz. ¡Felicitaciones a Nicaragua!

Hoy es domingo, me levanté y vi a mi amiga durmiendo, me pone muy tierno porque parece un hada, así que le tomé una foto y como el fondo del sol, le dio ese toque especial del domingo, me Quería guardar ese momento como un recuerdo.
