Mushroom Fridays // The Little Soldiers [ENG-ESP]

Greetings dear friends of @fungiFriday, welcome to my blog. It's been a while since I've been here, so I hope you had a happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2026. Today is Mushroom Friday, and to make our contribution to @ewkaw, I'm here with several photos of some of them. I took them in San Pedro, a road that leads to Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui state, Venezuela.

It is a wooded area, accessible by road in a rugged vehicle. The road is somewhat rough, so I arrived feeling a little dizzy. It was not a leisurely trip; we went to find a spring for a community water service project and had to walk for an hour to find it. Along the way, I saw several logs by the side of the road with mushrooms hanging from them.

It seemed as if something had stopped them, as if they had wanted to launch themselves and had been left hanging there, already somewhat withered, upside down and of different species. Further on there were more logs, these ones were full of mushrooms. I must admit that I couldn't take the photos calmly and up close as I like to do, in detail, because the path was very jungle-like, as well as steep, and I almost fell, hehe. Also, since I was there for work, my three colleagues and I were accompanied by people from the community, approximately 14 people. I didn't want them to think I was getting distracted, but I managed to take the pictures.

Uno de los troncos era muy largo, y allí había una gran fila de hongos, parecía unos soldaditos, uno al lado del otro. Se veían muy bonitos.

As it is always very nice to contribute to this community, I would like to do so more often and with a variety of species, but I live in a tropical area where humidity is low, and that is the ideal environment for fungi. The important thing is that I was able to do it, and here is mine.

Saludos estimados amigos de @fungiFriday, bienvenidos a mi blog, ha pasado un buen tiempo desde que estuve por aquí, así que espero que hayan pasado una feliz navidad y venturoso año nuevo 2026. Hoy es viernes de hongos para hacer nuestra contribución a @ewkaw y aquí vengo con varias fotografías de algunos de ellos. Las tomé en San Pedro, una vía que va hacia Puerto La Cruz, estado Anzoátegui, Venezuela.

Es un zona boscosa, se llega por carretera en auto rústico, el camino está algo accidentado, así que llegué algo mareada. No fue un paseo, fuimos a buscar un manantial para un proyecto de servicio de agua para una comunidad y tuvimos que caminar 1 hora para encontrarlo. Durante el recorrido pude ver varios troncos al lado del camino donde colgaban algunos hongos.

Parecía que algo los detuvo, como si quisieron lanzarse y se quedaron colgados, ya estaban algo marchitos, boca abajo y de distintas especies. Más adelante había más troncos, esos sí que estaban repletos de hongos, le cuento que no pude tomar las fotos con calma y de cerca como me gusta hacerlo, en detalle, porque el camino era muy selvático, además de empinado, yo casi me caigo, jeje. Además, como iba por ocasión de trabajo, a mi tres compañeros y a mí nos acompañaron personas de la comunidad, 14 personas aproximadamente. No quería que pensaran que me estaba distrayendo, pero logré hacer las capturas.

Como siempre es muy agradable dejar mi contribución a esta comunidad, me gustaría hacerlo más a menudo y con especies variadas, pero vivo en una zona tropical donde la humedad es escasa, y ese, es el ambiente ideal para los hongos. Lo importante es que pude hacerlo y he aquí la mía.
