Greetings, dear friends of Worldmappin, welcome to my blog. Today I'm sharing a magical tour of Amsterdam with you. The idea was to recreate the separate tours, but my five-year-old phone has been malfunctioning and I've lost a lot of photos and videos. The first tour I'm going to review was the visit to the Keukenhof Gardens, and as I always say, for those who love plants and flowers, this visit is a must and ideal if your destination is the Netherlands.
This garden has a very interesting history. It is also very famous and one of the largest in Europe, with an incredible plantation of multicolored tulips that you cannot even imagine. There you can enjoy an extensive bulb plantation, with approximately 7 million bulbs cultivated. This garden is immense, measuring about 32 hectares, and to enter you have to pay an entrance fee at the ticket office, which at that time was 50 euros. The tour is fascinating, taking about 4 hours to connect with nature, delight in the extraordinary landscapes, bridges, walkways, lakes, fountains, and of course, the tulips, in an infinite palette of colors. In addition to tulips, you can see other species, such as roses, hyacinths, and daffodils, but the main attraction is the tulip blossoms. The bright green, well-manicured lawn was one of the features of this garden that captivated me. It serves as a large carpet in the sky that houses a rainbow of flowers and large trees.
If this garden is something you want to feast your eyes on, you should visit during spring, between March and May, although they say that April is when the tulips are at their most spectacular. During my visit, I saw a bear pretending to drink water from the lake. At first, I was scared, but then I was surprised to see it because I like animals. However, it turned out to be a decorative statue in this impressive and majestic garden. You can see other statues as you enter this magical place, which is quite complete, with zoos, soda fountains, shops where you can buy beautiful souvenirs, benches, and, of course, seed sales so you can grow your own tulips or other species. Yes, you read that right, tulips will not only be a memory in photos and videos. In addition to the refreshing walk, you can enjoy other activities, such as cycling or boating.
The history of Keukenhof, I couldn't imagine it. Keukenhof means kitchen gardens. It was the land of a member of royalty, which is why it was originally used to grow vegetables and herbs for the castle kitchen. Then, over the years, it became the largest garden in the world with these flowers that are not native to Amsterdam, but to Mongolia and Turkey. This garden is very beautiful, my camera couldn't stop clicking, clicking, and all those hours we spent there were incredibly fascinating.
Another feature of this garden that I found special and captivating is the scent that emanates from these flowers as you walk among them; it is simply sublime. Personally, I love flowers, and it was wonderful to walk through a place full of color and majesty.
A stroll through Amsterdam's canals
This boat tour through Amsterdam's canals was another highlight of the trip. To be honest, I was feeling stressed that day, I was a little tired, and at the end of the afternoon, after several walks, we ended the day sailing through the waters and tunnels of the Dutch capital. The boat tour can be done at any time of day, and the ticket cost 40 euros for a one-hour tour. Inside the boat, we had a tour guide who gave us commentary on the adventure, which we listened to through headphones that we were given as a gift. The only negative thing I can say is that there was no Spanish translation, only English.
During the ride, we enjoyed extraordinary landscapes, houseboats, buildings on the banks of the canal, and some monuments, such as St. Nicholas Basilica and the Tower of Tears, a place where sailors said their goodbyes with no hope of return. Seeing so much beauty, my tiredness vanished, and I really enjoyed seeing the lights on everywhere. These lights were so bright that they illuminated the waters of the river, which seemed to be covered by a thin layer of golden frost, or rather, as if they were gold leaf.
I was surprised to see a floating architectural structure of Chinese origin. It is a very famous restaurant in Amsterdam called Sea Palace, where they serve the best seafood and typical cuisine of that country. It can also accommodate approximately 800 people. The lights made it shine impressively when we looked at it from afar, but as we approached in the boat, it was impossible not to notice its imposing design. I cannot deny that being filled with so many lights is precisely its greatest attraction, offering an almost mesmerizing exterior view.

Saludos estimados amigos de Worldmappin, bienvenidos a mi blog. Hoy les comparto un recorrido mágico por Ámsterdam, la idea era recrear los paseos por separados, pero mi teléfono que ya tiene 5 años ha estado fallando y he perdido muchas fotos y videos. El primer paseo que voy a reseñar fue la visita a los Jardines de Keukenhof, y como siempre digo, para quienes les gustan las plantas y flores, esta visita es obligada e ideal si tu destino es Países Bajos.
Este jardín cuenta una historia bien interesante, además, es muy famoso y uno de los más grandes de Europa con una increíble plantación de tulipanes de múltiples colores que no puedes ni imaginar. Allí puedes deleitarte con una extensa plantación de bulbos, aproximadamente han cultivado unos 7 millones de ellos. Este jardín es inmenso, mide unas 32 hectáreas y para entrar se cancela una entrada en taquilla, para aquel tiempo fueron 50 euros. El recorrido es fascinante, unas 4 horas para conectarse con la naturaleza, deleitarse con los extraordinarios paisajes, puentes, caminarías, lagos, fuentes y por su puesto, los tulipanes, en una infinita paleta de colores. Además de tulipanes, se pueden ver otras especies, como Rosas, Jacintos y Narcisos, no obstante, la atracción principal es la floración de los tulipanes. La grama verde brillante y bien cuidada fue una de las características de este jardín que me cautivó, funge como una gran alfombra en el cielo que alberga un arcoíris de flores y grandes árboles.
Si quieres deleitar tus pupilas en este jardín, lo debes visitar durante la primavera, entre marzo y mayo, aunque dicen que en abril los tulipanes brillan en todo su esplendor. Durante el recorrido vi un oso, simulaba beber agua del lago, en principio me asusté, luego me sorprendí al verlo porque me gustan los animales, pero se trataba de una estatuilla decorativa para este impresionante y majestuoso jardín. Se pueden apreciar otras estatuas mientras nos adentramos a este mágico lugar que es bastante completo, cuenta con zoológicos, fuentes de sodas, tiendas para regalarnos un hermoso souvenir, banquetas y no podía faltar la ventas de semillas para cultivar tus propios tulipanes u otras especies; sí, como lo lees, los tulipanes no solo serán un recuerdo en fotos y vídeos. Además de la reconfortante caminata, es posible divertirse con otras actividades, como paseo en bicicleta o en bote.
La historia de Keukenhof, no la podía imaginar, Keukenhof significa jardines de cocina. Era el terreno de un personaje de la realeza, y es por ello que en un principio se utilizó para el cultivo de vegetales y yerbas para la cocina de un castillo. Luego, con el pasar de los años, pasó a ser el jardín más grande del mundo con estas flores que no son nativas de Ámsterdam, sino de Mongolia y Turquía. Este jardín es muy hermoso, mi cámara no paraba de hacer clic, clic, y todas esas horas que estuvimos allí fueron increíblemente fascinantes.
Otra de las características de este jardín que me resultó especial y cautivante, es el olor que emanan estas flores mientras caminas entre ellas, es sencillamente excelso. En lo particular, me encantan las flores y fue maravilloso recorrer un lugar repleto de color y majestuosidad.
Un paseo por los canales de Ámsterdam
Este paseo por los canales de Ámsterdam fue otra de las maravillas de este viaje. La verdad me sentí estresada ese día, estaba algo cansada, y la final de la tarde, luego de varios paseos, culminamos el día navegando por las aguas y túneles de la capital de países bajos. El paseo en bote se puede hacer a cualquier hora de día, la entrada tuvo un costo de 40 euros para una duración de 1 hora. En el interior de la embarcación contamos con un guía turístico que va reseñando la aventura y que vamos escuchando a través de unos audífonos que nos dejan de obsequio. Lo único negativo que puedo manifestar es que no había traducción al español, solo el idioma inglés.
Durante el paseo, disfrutamos de extraordinarios paisajes, casas flotantes, edificaciones a la orilla del canal, y algunos monumentos, como la basílica de San Nicolás y la Torre de las Lágrimas, un lugar de despedida sin un posible regreso de los marineros. Al ver tanta belleza, mi cansancio se esfumó, disfruté mucho al ver las luces encendidas, estaban por todas partes. Estas luces eran tan brillantes que iluminaban las aguas del río y éste parecía estar cubierto por una fina capa de escarchas doradas, o mejor dicho, como si fueran hojillas de oro.
Me sorprendió ver una estructura arquitectónica flotante, de origen chino, se trata de un restaurante muy famoso en Ámsterdam, Sea Palace, donde expenden la mejor gastronomía marina y típica de ese país, además, puede albergar unas 800 personas aproximadamente. Las luces lo hacían resplandecer de una manera impresionante cuando lo mirábamos desde lejos, no obstante, a medida que nos acercábamos en la embarcación era inevitable ver su diseño imponente. No puedo negar que al estar colmado de tantas luces, constituye justamente su mayor atractivo, mostrando una vista exterior casi hechizante.

Este lugar es maravilloso, como si estuvieras en el cielo, cuando leí el precio de la entrada me pareció costoso pero luego de ver todo lo que hay en el parque esta muy bien.
Y del restaurante chino, que belleza !!
