Salt Spring Sunsets On The Water

The worst part of living on a sailboat, near a beautiful island on the coast of BC Canada,

is how much space on my phone is just filled with endless sunset pictures! Occasionally sunrise pictures too, when I’m forced to get up early for a job, or I got to pee and the head port light(fancy sailor talk for bathroom window) is facing the sunrise.
As of lately the sunsets have been amazing almost nightly! Also I was feeling a bit bad about being a bit inactive on Hive, despite making everyone I know sick of hearing me talking about how Hive is the solution to the negative effects of mainstream social media. So rather than burning out first on mainstream platforms promoting Hive, I’m going to try to focus on posting more on Hive, and then talking about that experience on mainstream platforms to promote Hive by sorta leading by example. Which is why you’re getting this photo dump of awesome sunsets!

I cleaned my dinghy, so decided to include it in the shot. All of those are taken off the back of my sailboat.

This was some very interesting cloud formations, which I’ve only seen a few times.

Here’s the best I could zoom in, but obviously I need a proper zoom lens to better capture this.

This is one of my favourites, although mostly because the memory attached, and not so much the tarp I have over my hatch because it’s got a leak.
It was a friend’s birthday, so her and I took my sailboat, and a sailor couple we know came on theirs. We rafted our boats together while anchored near a small island with a beach, had a BBQ supper, and then sailed back home into the sunset after.

And this is what my phone picture album looks like! So all likes will be likely going towards paying for my cloud storage, and maybe one day I’ll develop the habit of actually putting all my content out rather than hoarding it all to myself! 😅
