What a bitch. Did she somehow give you the rest of the money?
"Take a photo of me" - after I got my camera, I spent days wandering the little towns near Malaga with it in hand, and used to get this all the time. I remember one time having an entire little photo session with a bum. I was kinda scared but also kinda thrilled at how he enjoyed it and seemed to take pride in having his photo taken. I love things like this.

Good morning. The dress fit her well and she paid me for both things. But I left that place thinking that this job is badly paid and risky. With the level of vandalism around here… going into an unfamiliar place by bike (that they could steal from me or snatch away 🙄), to meet a stranger who also has to give you money… nah, I’m out.
Those are definitely lovely street experiences when it comes to photography… I always enjoy them deeply. They've often been a gateway into places, and a way to spark interesting conversations.
Indeed, sounds a bit dicey. I couldn't work with all this uncertainty(and plain out danger, sometimes) either. Do you have an idea towards what you might head next, job-wise?
Job-wise... 😔
I’ve felt the urge to explode and pour out all my complaints here — about how I’ve barely scraped by my whole life as a journalist and photographer… but perhaps it has nothing to do with anything external, or the country I live in, and everything to do with myself.
This is true.
