M + R - My Wedding Clients - a small collection of images

A long time between doing a wedding for clients of my own. This one was a very laid back affair, held in a small-city pub, in a small-city function room, with an incredible group of lovely, amazing humans, who didn't even want to meet me in person before the day.

We discussed their desired outcomes, some documentary style work, nothing too obviously posed, and to just be present.

Present I was; this was one of the most enjoyable evenings I've had with wedding photography. It helps that the couple also got married on the same day I did, just a few years apart. I didn't realise this until much later on, after the occasion.

They were pretty pleased with the outcome of their day, my images. Some highlights below.

The bride had to show off her boots. :D

Me, as photographed by a guest on my camera, with all my new friends in the background.

I've photographed three weddings so far this year. This one is my favourite one yet. If you're in the Adelaide area in South Australia and want a photographer, let me know - I'd love to capture your image and would even accept payment in HIVE / HBD! :)

Thank you! It was so much fun, and from being nervous going into it (having not done a solo wedding in a year or so) - and the outcome at the end of the day, were too completely different feelings.

This was indeed a very laid back affair. I've seen brides in running shoes but boots? 😃 You did an excellent job, captured the interesting moments.

I didn't even realise until about half way through the time I was there until she asked me to capture it. Such is the wastefulness of fancy shoes on a wedding day, as odds are they're hidden by the dress. :)

She emphasised comfort over doing things "Traditionally"

All I see is fun around and I love the scenery built for this day. Well done.

The Bride and the Groom seem to be so relaxed!

I've been on many weddings, but usually the newly wed couple, although happy - they are stressed beyond measure. But not those people! So great to such a genuine emotions!

And all best to you as well!

These guys were absolute dream clients. All their guests wanted to buy me drinks because they liked me so much. I refused every offer, something about having to drive!

I bet you made friends there, they seem so nice!

I can only imagine, how expensive your equipment is, so better not to have shaky hands!

hehe I'm loving that black and white of the girls dancing!!!

Defnitely a beautiful moment captured in a beautiful style!!!

my daughter is getting married in October and they are looking for a photographer now hahaha I think we found a nice one - but that was one of the most important things... to have someone who could capture the heart of the moment! throughout the day! hehehe

Looks like you did just that! hehehe

Sorry that your standards may have risen enormously since you saw this post. :D

If I was local, I'd put in a bid, but Australia is too far away from pretty much everywhere. :D

I can't attend such a travesty. Sorry. I will pre-emptively decline the invitation. Can't associate with dill lovers.
