Ulm

Hello dear Hivers,

lets visit Ulm. It was foggy sunday morning and i did wake up at 8 a.m.. Our new family member Majlo needed to go to toilet, so i qickly dressed my self and went with her to our garden. Aftewards when we came home again, were the anothers also awake. And we started to plan our familys day. Decision was clear. We will go to Ulm! Usualy we do not plan much, but this time we looked in to the map and decided to visit a Zoo in there. On the way as kids were bored, it takes cca 2 ouhrs from Uhldingen-Mühlhofen https://peakd.com/hive-163772/@holdonla/uhldingen-muhlhofen, kids have been reading if dogs can go there as well. What a surprise they are not allowed. We did not have a dog for sometime like 5 years. So I completly forgot how it is to have a small friend which goes everywhere with you. But anyway Majlo give us a lot of joy to our lives. So we do not mind.

So the Zoo is of the list for us now. That does not matter Ulm is a big town an there is a lot to see. Kids have been listing though the Wikipedia abouth Ulm and they found there, that in the centre of Ulm is a gothic cathedral with the highest church tower in the world. The tower is 161.53 meters hi. Which I do find incredible. How could those people build such a great thing started back in 1377 when foundation stone of the minster was laid and ended with the tallest tower in 1890.

Incredible how could they create it everything from the architectual project, personal management, material, logistic and a lot more. Every singl statue on that big church is diferent. And there are so many! And that through five centuries!

When you go in the catedrale you will be amazed of the size. That you can see on those pictures i have made there.

Anyway back to our Majlo. I did use the trip to train her a bit in the big city, but ofcourse on the quite day there. And it was the good thing. She had to say hello to everyone she met there. At first we got out of the car next to Zoo. There is a small park. So we tryed what Majlo says on that. And ofcourse I needed her to poo and pee :). On the start it was confuseing for her. It was everything new around her and it was the longest way in the car in her life. She was confused of so many feetes over there, or so many for Majlo i mean. So after that again in the car heading to the center of Ulm.

There we did park the car in parking garage where was a place. Yes the season is over. No problem with parking again, yooohooo. Just the price was something like 5€ :( .

On the way to catedrale we met realy sweet restaurant. It was clear that we are going to eat there after the excursion. Majlo went proudly with us without the lead. This time she was not more confused and started to engoy our trip. It was funny how she needed to say hello to people again. But we did not have carry her and she kept up with us. Actualy she did not, We did kept with her (I have to teach her not to get diturbed by people around). And it was fine anyway. Today she learned abouth traveling with us. In the catedral i gues the dogs are not alowed eighter. It was not a big deal there. We just went in, with her in the basket. She is still small. And nobady sad anything.

Kids started to be hungry already. We have seen the catedral and a bit of centrum in there. So why not to go to try the restaurant I have been talking abouth. And that was realy excelent idea. Food was typicaly local bavarien and delicius. I have to recomend that place. And ofcourse the beer was also tasty. Pub was dogs friendly and we got the bowl with water for Majlo as well.

And now. When all of us are fed with experiences and delicius food. We take the way back to the car, to hit the road, to get home.

They have let dog inside the cathedral? Would be never allowed here, not even in the museums... But the joy of an animal is better than the little troubles as you say
