Likoon-Dos Coastal Areas- A Hidden Paradise View In Barangay Punta Silum

Greetings worldmappin travelers around the World, there are lots of place contains wonderful views and scenes and it will be very perfect to visit and explore the place. Beach travel is one of my hobbies in life and it makes me relaxing and peaceful. For today's travel blog, allow me to share the wonderful views of Likoon Dos Coastal areas located in Barangay Punta Silum Manticao, the Province of Misamis Oriental Mindanao Philippines. This coastal areas is quite far from the main road and it needs to walk a few meters away from the road in order to reach the place. It was lucky for me during my travel adventure because it is only cloudy day and no intense heat happened. From Barangay Poblacion Manticao, it only takes travel a few minutes riding on a motorcycle, Jeepneys, private vehicles or trucks going in here. Likoon coastal areas is filled with lots of big stones called, pagang in fact most of the place are contains lots of rocks.

Most of the cliffs and plain places are also compost with big rock walls, this high cliff where lots of wild plants and tall trees can be seen grows at the top and it is facing to the sea. The rock walls are covered with lots of vines and most interesting about this is at the top of the cliff is a small coconut farm. It is really amazed the place because even if it is very rocky there are still lots of agricultural and valuable plants can be found and planted. Aside of that, a big water tank made of concrete also built here at the plain place at the top of the cliff. This big water tank can help to all residents to have clean water and can be used in times of water interruptions.

Near at the rocky cliff is the road trail heading to the coastal areas. The most interesting of this is it is made of concrete particularly the stairs. It can be very easy to climb up or going down to the coastal areas but this concrete staircase was made because of the old beach resort built here. Now the entire open space is now completely turned into a wide place of coconut trees. Only few concrete structures are already left covering with wild grass and big roots of the trees.

For many years has past, the only structures left here are only few and some of it are already covering with wild grass and destroyed because of the big roots of trees grows near at the structures. This was once a waiting shed and a cooking areas of the resort but now the foundations are the only thing left. The entire place are covered with grass and planted with lots of coconut trees but despite of that, it is perfect spot for camping trips and picnics. Most of the big trees can be seen and locates here are Balete, Acacia, Molave and Talisay trees and it can gives a shady and relaxing cool areas.

This wide deep blue sea is very tempting for those who wants to visit this coastal areas. In fact there are lots of tourists always went and visited here every summer splashing to the sea water and aside of that, it is also a fishing areas to all fishermen. Every hightide, the sea water will reached at the sea walls but the surfaces will appeared every low tide. It can be abled to spend whole day swimming here because there are lots of shady areas brought by big trees and we can really avoid intense heat from the sun.

In terms of fishing activities, this place also have it. This lots of colorful unique boats made of light materials are used to set sail to the sea. It is made of plywoods, lumbers and bamboo pieces and it is very attractive because of its designs and colors.
