Good morning to all hive friends. Located in the middle of a lake in the lush environment of Sri Lanka, Talathuduwa Aranya Senasana is a place deeply connected with nature. Here is a quiet sanctuary offering a glimpse of a beautiful lifestyle. Last weekend, I was lucky enough to visit a haven of ambience and tranquility. It was around 4:00 pm when we got there.
As I entered Talathuduwa Aranya Senasana, I was immediately struck by the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. Tall trees, aquatic plants caught my eye. It is a more comfortable village than the one I live in. The air was alive with the chirping of birds and the symphony of rustling leaves.

Below are some photos of the road from that place to Talathuduwa Aranya Senasana.

As I walked along the winding paths through the forest, I couldn't help but marvel at the variety of flora that thrives in this mangrove ecosystem. The beauty of the path was enhanced by numerous plants like mangrove mat high palms. Everything revealed a new wonder of nature, each one more attractive than the last.

However, what makes Talathuduwa Aranya Senasana really different is not only its natural beauty, but also the way people interact with their environment in harmony. Simple dwellings hidden amidst the foliage, the monastery's residents live a simple and mindful life.

The lifestyle of the people living in Talathuduwa Aranya Senasana is deeply rooted in the principles of Buddhism, which emphasizes compassion, mindfulness and respect for all living beings. As I observed the residents going about their daily routines, it seemed that every action was intentional and mindful. I had heard that in the morning the monks would meditate under the shade of ancient trees. But we didn't get to see it when we went.

At this time, a large number of pilgrims were also present. This Senasana is surrounded by Koggala Oya. Tourists as well as local people had come here for boating.

As the sun began to set, fading into the warm glow of evening, I felt blessed to have had the opportunity to experience such a peaceful and harmonious way of life. In an often hurried world, Talathuduwa Aranya Senasana ended the trip as a reminder of the importance of slowing down, connecting with nature and nurturing the soul within.
