This was a log that had fallen and was rotting. I thought the red tones in the wet weathered wood were beautiful but since it's a macro shot it's a bit abstract looking. Thanks for swinging by my post and taking the time to ask!
i thought apparently so! this wood looks like resin-soaked, I imagine textures like this can look quite impressive. ☘️ (also reminded me of a crumbled soap, but I knew that was not the case!)
