I like the flow of your daily activities and the flow of your blog posts from narrative to vibrant photos and back to narrative again. I had to chuckle at the early morning routine of waking up, doing asset management... in bed! When I'm at home all day, I rather enjoy a postprandial nap in the afternoon with my laptop set up so that I can snooze through a Youtube video and do simple online tasks as well.

By the way, I noticed the photo of a bamboo grove and your mention of helping someone work with split bamboo for an interior wall. Is bamboo an indigenous species in Hawaii? What else do you use it for?

I'm really happy to hear that you appreciate that aspect of my posts, David, because it's very intentional. I like a nice balance and contrast. Hahaha...yep, I love my morning Hive routine in bed, and that sounds like a lovely way to spend the day, my friend!

There are around 40 or so species and varieties of tropical clumping bamboos all over the property, many of them producing quite good-quality poles for the construction of all sorts of things, and they are heavily used here. There are no endemic or indigenous bamboos here, but rather species from many places on the world, especially South-East Asia and South America. We use them for ridge poles for roofs, to make beds, ladders, door handles, flooring, among an array of other items. Bamboo is one of the three most-useful plants in the world, next to hemp and coconut palms. Thanks so much for your visit and great comment my friend! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
