Wednesday walk lost in Wildflowers and Fog

ffa.jpg

Hello, friends! Greetings! I hope you all are doing well and having a good time with your loved ones. Today is Wednesday, and we are sharing our experiences in the community #wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay.

The day started with pleasant weather, despite the forecast predicting cloudy skies and a bit of wind. There was nice sunshine, warm temperatures, and a clear blue sky. While I was watering the plants, I noticed a Viking ship in the harbor and wanted to see it from closer. But by the time we got ready and walked over, it had already departed.

So we started walking further towards the military base. Our usual walking place, I’ve posted many times about this place before. I was just enjoying the moment with my husband, and searching for something new, so that I could take photos, as many people were soaking up the sun and visiting exhibitions by local artists. For me, it was all about appreciating nature and the atmosphere.

While walking, I stopped at a place the escape room. In previous posts, I had shared photos from a distance.

But this time, being close to the structure felt different. Although I don’t have any specific information about it, I believe they might be hosting activities there for special events. I climbed the stairs up to the platform they built and took some photos.

Suddenly, I noticed my husband standing on a small hill that was blooming with Primula veris known in English as cowslips. They are beautiful, small wildflowers that typically bloom in the spring season, around May. When I got closer, I realized I was a bit late to see them in full bloom, as they had already started to produce seeds. On that hill, there are many different Norwegian wild flowers, some of which bloom in late spring and some in early summer.

Those were very attractive, small cuties; I couldn't control myself from taking photos of them.
As soon as I started, it was nonstop. I got lost in the other wild flowers

Untitled1.jpg
Armeria maritima, commonly known as sea thrift or sea pink, they grow all around here on rocks and on the seashore, and keeps flowering until Autumn. Some are bright pink, and some are lighter in colors

Untitled.jpg
Viscaria vulgaris, commonly known as sticky catchfly or German catchfly. Has a sticky stem, and these tiny flowers are so cute, purple in color.

Untitled3.jpg
English known as Meadow Saxifrage Saxifraga granulata

Untitled4.jpg
These tiny winter cress Barbarea vulgaris, which belong to the mustard family, cover some areas with their flowers, creating a view like a yellow carpet.

White Campion Silene latifolia More growing around vet places and seaside.

Even the grass or dry dandelion makes the area beautiful.

I was so focused on my flower that I didn't notice what was happening around me. I would have found more. But my husband pointed out that the fog was coming and told me to look at the seaside. Suddenly, the fog filled the entire atmosphere. It happened so quickly that I felt completely absorbed in that moment. That magical scene transported me to another world. When my husband asked me why I was not taking photos. That brought me back to reality, and I started taking photos. The scene was changing very fast.

The fog started from the south, where the lighthouse is located. In the first photo, we can see the lighthouse, but in a few seconds, it is totally covered by fog.

The fog appeared and disappeared just as quickly. This memorable moment highlighted nature's miraculous abundance. And we were happy about this fantastic walk.

I am not a botanical expert. The information about some flower names I found through a Google search. Some from my husband.
All photos are taken by me, and they are my property. Please do not share them without my permission on any other platform.
