Hello and greetings to all world travelers, friends, and the community.

Today, I want to share a little bit about Norway. Summer has begun, and people are starting their summer vacations. Then Ula will soon be bustling with locals and tourists alike. Before the crowds arrived, we visited the area for just a few hours. It’s not very far from where we live, but we can't walk there; it takes about 25 minutes by car.

We arrived around 5 p.m. The distance from the parking lot to the beach is around 1 kilometer. but walking through the forest on a sunny evening feels like walking 100 meters.

The path wound through beautiful green trees and gray rocks that looked stunning under the evening sun.

It is a very nice forest for a walk.

20250520_171027.jpg It wasn't crowded at all, some locals with their family enjoying the sunny evening.

20250520_171512.jpg The water was very clear but ice cold, but children don't mind swimming and playing in water.

In Norway, the shore has more rocky beaches than sandy ones. After walking along this small beach, we came to lots of large smooth rocks that looked beautiful.

20250520_172048.jpg
They are good for children to play on.

20250520_172545.jpg
Here in Norway, people say walking through the rocks keeps the body flexible, and clean blue water refreshes the mind so many people prefer to walk along the coast

a long distance out to sea, the Svenner lighthouse is visible.

Standing on rocks and fishing is kind of fun. I enjoyed that many times around our town.

20250520_172937.jpgAnother tiny sandy beach, in the not so distant past this beach was reserved for women while the larger one was for men

20250520_173233.jpg To reach the moonstone ource, follow the path from the camping area. The path brings us close to Ula harbor, and the exposed moonstone rocks can be seen right around the hill standing on the seashore. This type of moonstone is rare but not valueable

20250520_175145.jpg The campground is huge. There are many possibilities to make a joyful evening with friends or family for any gatherings or a party, or a picnic. This is a spacious area suitable for sports activities, Tents with seating arrangements, grilling options, and dog walking. There’s also a self-service reception to buy food or drinks, making it a practical spot for a picnic. but no motor vehicles are allowed, tenting only

next to the harbor on a hill, the moonstone rocks were glowing in the evening sun. This area is preserved by the community, and collecting any pieces of these rocks is prohibited.

They have maintained this site as a treasure of the county.

This is the memorial site of Ulabrand,

20250520_174314.jpg
Ulabrand is known as a brave sailor, a native of this place. He was both fearless and resourceful and became internationally famous for rescuing many ships in need during storms on the rocky Skagerrak coast

This place is abundant in nature, and there’s no limit to how much time one can spend enjoying it. We planned to do just that one day soon and started back toward our car.

Thank you for stopping by.

The photographs of the beach look very beautiful, and besides, it's not very pleasant to visit these places in the hot sun. Although the place looks very beautiful.
