Where Tea Gardens Meet the Sky (Bir, INDIA)

Today's post is about Bir which is situated at 1400 meters and is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh in the north of India. This place is famous all over the world for tea gardens, Hindu temples, Buddhist monasteries and paragliding. I have come here to volunteer in a trail running event and will share the photos of this trip with you in the coming days.

So I went to Chandigarh by bus from Dehradun and it took me 6 hours to cover this 170 km long distance. From Chandigarh, my friend who had come to Chandigarh from Gurugram gave me a lift to Bir. The distance from Chandigarh to Bir is 233 km and it took us till 08:30 in the night to cover this distance.

After reaching at night, we have dinner and after a long day, we fall asleep as soon as we go to bed. The next morning was very beautiful because after coming out of the hotel balcony, we saw paragliders in the blue sky. On the other side, we saw the glittering snow on the Dhauladhar mountain range. Hanumangarh peak was visible in front where we have to go tomorrow.

All the photos of today have been clicked from the hotel balcony, you can see how the Buddhist prayer flags are fluttering in the light morning sun, the houses built in the middle of the tea gardens look no less than a paradise. I am happy that I reached here directly from the heat. The temperature here is pleasant and the day's sun is not as piercing as it is in the plains. So that's all in today's post, we will meet tomorrow.
