Monomad : The Road Where Every Peak Stands Taller than Dreams
It was on 20th June that we had just crossed Sarchu and I was taking pictures with the camera out of the car window when suddenly the camera slipped from my hand and fell down from the moving car. As soon as the camera fell, my heart sank thinking that it is okay if the camera fell but how can we do the work for which we have come here without a camera?
We immediately stopped the car and got down and saw that the camera was covered in dust but neither the lens nor the body of the camera was damaged. My deep breaths got some relief after seeing this. Now I just have to turn on the camera and see whether it is working or not? When I turned on the camera, I came to know that the camera is working but dust has entered the lens and the filter is broken. I am ready to bear this much loss.
I stopped at the next stop and cleaned the camera completely, removed the dust from the lens and the camera looked like new. I removed the broken filter from the lens. Then I swore that I will never take out the camera from the car window and click photos. Then I took great care of the camera throughout the trip because this trip is not possible without a camera.
All the photos shown in the post are of landscapes located on the Manali Leh Highway and the height of all the mountain peaks is more than 6000 meters. I hope you liked this black and white post very much.
This is my entry for #monomad challenge.
