Sharing a few shots of Gray langurs today—fondly known in India as Hanuman langurs, named after Lord Hanuman, the monkey god revered for his courage, devotion, and strength. They are deeply respected here and were recently introduced in my village to keep monkeys away, since monkeys are naturally afraid of them. Graceful, calm, and a little mysterious—I just love watching them.

Graceful, calm, and a little mysterious - I just love watching them

I love them too. :) I've spent a while watching them in Hampi surroundings in the 2010s, and other places in India, too. In Udaipur they visited the rooftop of my guesthouse and I could watch them moving along the roofs. Looking forward to meeting them again soon in Rajasthan. :)

That sounds amazing! They really do have a special presence wherever they go and I could see that in your photos. Rajasthan will surely be a treat! :D
