Goldenrod by the Street 🌼

_DSC1117 (1).jpg

Came across these goldenrods growing by the street and couldn’t resist taking a few pics! Some insects, like the goldenrod gall fly, actually make their homes inside these plants. Their larvae cause the stem to form a little round ā€œgallā€ around them, almost like a cozy little room in nature. Interestingly, goldenrod also makes a soothing herbal tea and has been traditionally used to support digestion, reduce inflammation, and promote urinary tract health.
