(ENG-TUR) SIDE ANCIENT CITY TRIP - SİDE ANTİK KENTİ GEZİSİ

I'm here with another ancient city tour. My curiosity and interest in old experiences lead me to go to ancient cities.💙
I've been in Antalya's Manavgat district for days. In my opinion, the most important place to see in this district is the ancient city of Side.👀

Yine bir antik kent gezisi ile karşınızdayım. Eski yaşanmışlıklara olan merakım ve ilgim beni antik kentlere gitmeye sevk ediyor.💙
Günlerdir Antalya’nın Manavgat ilçesindeyim. Bu ilçenin bana göre görülmesi gereken en önemli yeri Side antik kentidir. 👀

Although I do not have much time, I cannot pass without visiting this city, which impresses with its historical texture.
We are doing research in this city where I came with my friends. And we don't forget to take lots of photos.👇

Fazla vaktim olmamasına rağmen tarihi dokusuyla kendine hayran bıraktıran bu kenti ziyaret etmeden geçmiyorum.
Arkadaşlarımla beraber gelmiş olduğum bu kentte incelemelerde bulunuyoruz. Ve bolca fotoğraf çekmeyi ihmal etmiyoruz. 👇

The most important feature of this ancient city, which is only 80 kilometers from the center of Antalya, is that it proved its freedom in ancient times and printed its own money.☺️

Antalya merkeze sadece 80 kilometre olan bu antik kentin en önemli özelliği eski zamanlarda özgürlüğünü kanıtlamış olması ve kendi parasını basmasıdır.☺️

I must say that you need to spare at least 3 hours to visit this place completely. We could even call it 4.
Since I only have 2 hours, I will quickly examine some of the ruins and rest by the sea and come back.
I had the opportunity to visit this place before. When we approach the end, a magnificent temple facing the sea will greet us. The name of this temple is the temple of Apollo.💮

Burayı tamamen gezmek için en az 3 saat ayırmanız gerektiğini söylemeliyim. Hatta buna 4 bile diyebiliriz.
Benim sadece 2 saatim olduğu için hızlıca bazı kalıntıları inceleyip deniz kenarında dinlenip geri döneceğim.
Burayı daha önce de ziyaret etme imkânım olmuştu. Sonuna doğru yaklaştığımızda bizi denize bakan görkemli bir tapınak karşılayacak. Bu tapınağın adı Apollon tapınağı. 💮

We do not pay any entrance fee. Likewise, a museum card is not required.
You have to pay a fee to visit the theater part of the city. A museum card is required to enter the museum inside. Spending time in other areas is completely free.

Buranın girişinde her hangi bir ücret ödemiyoruz. Aynı şekilde müze kartı falanda istenmiyor.
Kentin tiyatro kısmını gezmek için bir ücret ödemek gerekiyor. İçerisinde bulunan müzeye girmek için müze kartı gerekiyor. Diğer alanlarda vakit geçirmek ise tamamen ücretsiz.

Then we come across a structure called the monumental fountain.

İlk olarak karşımıza bilgilendirici bir tabela çıkıyor.
Ardından anıtsal çeşme adlı bir yapıya rastlıyoruz.

Off-topic, but take a look at this sweet insect that caught my eye in the bushes.👀
This is a Lixus beetle. It is a separate irony that I love this insect while I normally get scared when it is insects. Is it because of the color?😖

Konuyla alakasız ama çalıların arasında gözüme çarpan şu tatlı böceğe bir bakın.👀
Bu bir Liksus böceği. Normalde böceklerken korkarken bu böceği seviyor olmam ayrı bir ironi. Renginden dolayı mı acaba?😖

Anyway, let's continue touring the ancient city.
When we move a little further, we see the city gate and immediately after that, we see many ruins.

Neyse biz antik kenti gezmeye devam edelim.
Biraz ilerleyince şehir kapısı çıkıyor karşımıza hemen ardından birçok kalıntı görüyoruz.

There are active workers in the city where maintenance and repair works are carried out.

Bakım ve onarım çalışmaları sürdürülen kentin içerisinde aktif olarak çalışanlar var.

I have the opportunity to photograph the theater and the agora from afar.

Tiyatro ve agorayı uzaktan fotoğraflama imkânım oluyor.

Then I take a closer look at two different structures, the cantilevered house and the peristyle house.

Ardından Konsollu ev ve peristilli ev adlı iki farklı yapıyı yakından inceliyorum.

Now I am in the Byzantine hospital. There are many natural windows in this building.
We have the opportunity to walk in it and watch the environment from these windows.
I think I got some nice shots here.

Şimdi ise Bizans hastanesindeyim. Bu yapının içerisinde birçok doğal pencere oluşmuş.
İçinde gezme ve bu pencerelerden çevreyi izleme fırsatımız oluyor.
Burada güzel kareler yakaladığımı düşünüyorum.

I leave here and walk to reach the temple of Apollo.

Buradan ayrılıp Apollon tapınağına varmak üzere yürüyorum.

I quickened my steps a little. There is also a walking path in one place.
I've never walked this road before. I think this road will take me to the sea, but I don't prefer to walk here in order to see more ruins.

Adımlarımı biraz hızlandırdım. Bir yerde ayrıca bir yürüyüş yolu karşıma çıkıyor.
Bu yoldan daha önce yürümedim. Bu yolunda beni denize götüreceğini düşünüyorum ama daha fazla kalıntı görebilmek adına buradan yürümeyi tercih etmiyorum.

There are many stores where we can shop.👇

I must say that the prices in these stores are slightly above normal.
Knowing this, I only focus on walking.🙈
