(ENG-TUR) MY TRIP TO NETHERLANDS AMSTERDAM - HOLLANDA AMSTERDAM SEYAHATİM
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a great time. Today I want to take you to the north of Europe, to the Netherlands, which has a special place in my memory with its unique atmosphere.
Herkese merhaba! Umarım keyifli günler geçiriyorsunuzdur. Bugün sizleri Avrupa'nın kuzeyine, kendine has atmosferiyle hafızamda özel bir yer edinen Hollanda'ya götürmek istiyorum.
One of the stops of my trip abroad last year was the Netherlands. There is a lot to tell about this country, but the two places that I remember the most are Amsterdam and Giethoorn. In this article, I would like to share my impressions of these two unique routes with you.
My time in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, was short but impressive. When I started exploring the city, the first thing that caught my attention was its architecture. Many of the houses were built on the sides of canals or on the water.
I felt like I was in a movie scene while crossing the bridges over the Amstel River. It was especially enjoyable to be in Dam Square and walk in the heart of the city, surrounded by history. I can say that this square, surrounded by crowds of people, street artists and historical buildings, is the heart of Amsterdam.
As I passed through the Red Light District, I understood better that this area is a part of Amsterdam culture. As someone who grew up in Türkiye, the openness of drug policies in the Netherlands and the obvious existence of such areas have been a different observation point for me. You see a different face of the concept of “freedom” in every corner here.
I relieved the tiredness of the day with a lunch break at a pizzeria in the city center. You can find many options from world cuisine in Amsterdam, but I chose pizza that day and I did not regret it.
My memories of Amsterdam were like this. I can say that sharing it with you took me back to those moments. Thank you for reading.
Amsterdam anılarım bu şekildeydi. Sizlerle paylaşmak beni yeniden o anlara götürdü diyebilirim. Okuduğunuz için teşekkür ederim.
In my next article, I will tell you about the village of Giethoorn in the Netherlands, where I traveled. For now, goodbye and take care. See you!
