Too sweet
Gummies are my favorite candies - more specifically the sour ones. The more sour, the better. Aside from them tasting great, they also look so cute and colorful.
So I thought, they'd look great on macro lenses. These gummies were coated in sour stuff and the sugar - not the most healthy. :P
These are Fini Little Mix Sour and it claims to be "100% yummy" but in my opinion it's not the best taste. Those red rectangles taste so shit I don't even know what flavor they are. They're kinda hard I don't know why it's there.
The rest were okayish.
The details were interesting to see.
There's a lot of noise in the photo as I jacked up the ISO and didn't have a proper lighting cos honestly I didn't know what to expect. Surprisingly they'd make a nice subject and the lens were able to go close to see the sugar details.
I adjusted the aperture to a lower one since I forgot that that settings exist. For years of me doing photography I always have the aperture open to the max cos I want that juicy blur but blur is not always an ideal feature in photographs. It's a very important detail to watch out for in macro photographs as well.
The gummmy bears you see are from Sour Patch kids which is probably my favorite of all the sour gummies. They have the right sweet and sour and gummy texture that I like the most. They're not too gummy and not too soft either, although they can be really annoying cos they get stuck in the teeth too easily.
Although they're quite a scam cos it doesn't look like the ones you see in the packaging. They should look a bit like kids or something haha.
To be honest, Trolli was better than Finni. Maybe next time I can get some other types of candies like Airheads or hard candies or something which would probably look interesting on macro as well.
I started salivating after looking at the photos. I guess that's the effect of looking at these sweet and sour gummies, and I don't even like sour candies. The photos came out ok, but it seems the camera had a hard time bringing out the detail of the candies. I guess it could be the type of candy as you said.
It's more of a user error, I used a high aperture which gives a lot of blurry parts in the photo but also allows more light to come in. For more details, I need to use a lower aperture which lessens the blurry background, has sharper details, but makes the image darker since the aperture is not that open. I had impromptu macro session cos I wanted to eat the gummies immediately LOL so I didn’t set the lights and stuff for a better image. I’m not used to macro photography yet and I have to learn how to use my flash as well for that.
My brain just short circuited from that haha. Sorry, I don't really know anything about photography. I just use my old phone, and click and shoot. It's good that you are learning and practicing it though. Good luck and I hope you perfect it soon.
Lol sorry, I tried to explain it in simpler terms.
It's all good. I recognized the effort, and really appreciate it. I did understand it because of your explanation.
Never ever crave for it before but now looking to some in my vicinity.
Gummies are nice! 🤣 Hope you find iy somewhere close lol
It's not popular here
Goah, nangasim ako bigla, lol. I remember my sister, she loves this sour gummies too. I can't understand her sometimes coz I'm wondering how she can keep on eating them. But I guess, gummies has this good taste that is very addicting. I can eat it, but only after having meal.
By the way, love all the shot, they all look pretty, but yeah a bit weird too 🤔, but no doubt they look pretty.
I like sour in general so I can eat any sour but I understand some people don't like it, just like how others like bitter taste lol
You ate them all.
This candy is very delicious, where I live people call it yuppy..
Your macro photos of the gummies are amazing! The details are incredible, and I love how you captured the sugar crystals and the sour coating. I can almost taste them through the screen!
Thank you!
