Tiny insect
While I was taking out the trash, I saw this tiny grasshopper on my rubber plant. Before I take my camera out to take pics, I usually get close to the insects to see if they will run or fly away so I'll know if they'll let me take pics of them and not wasting my effort grabbing the camera. :P
You see that red leaf? That's a new leaf emerging which is smaller than the big leaves beside them. You can see the grasshopper so tiny on it. It's a baby grasshopper on a baby leaf I guess.
It allowed me to get close and didn't seem to mind. A lot of times, grasshoppers would jump the second they hear you so this is quite a surprise.
I was taking a while so it started moving lol. Thankfully I was able to capture it nicely even though I didn't use any extra light (only the sunlight). I also had the aperture set to f/8 to get more details from the subject instead of blasting the aperture up for light. XD Something I learned recently haha.
On the other plant as well, I saw this tiny thing. I really didn't know what I was looking at so I took my pics to see from my camera later on. It's so tiny and wasn't moving so I wasn't sure if it's even a living thing or just some random white stuff that happened to form an insect-like body. It kinda looks alienish to me. xD
I moved the leaf to see if it would fly away but it didn't. I think it slightly moved so I grabbed my slipper I was wearing cos I didn't wanna touch it with my finger and nudged it a bit. To my surprise tho, it was so fragile and it sort of broke off?
I still couldn't see what it was since it's really so tiny... until I reviewed my camera. Oh no, it's an actual tiny insect and not some random white stuff. Is it shedding something? I still don't know but I still feel a bit bad touching it.
From this angle, it looks like a moth but not sure. I hope it's fine. 😅
Another time I saw these on the opposite side of the window. I also don't know what they are but I don't think I've seen this before.
The white particles you see are from dried water from the window. It was already getting dark outside.
I took out my flash and this was the best shot with it. I guess with the glass window, it wasn't easy and you gotta have to find the best setting and position for the light so I didn't bother that much anymore.
While I took pics of those, beside was a tiny house spider. I don't think it was it's babies but just coincidence they were close. But also it was on the other side of the window so...
I think they are called jumping spiders. They're pretty harmless. I was just surprised it let me take pics when they usually jump quick when you get too close.
Pretty cool to see it up close. :D
Not an insect or an arachnid, but here's a tiny flower from a spider plant. I was surprised to see it the first time cos I didn't know they flower haha but it's so tiny and cute so I had to take a pic of it.
From my research, they flower when conditions are right so I guess it was pretty happy.
And here's the flower with the plant in comparison.
Hahahah 😂
:D

Nice to see you playing with Macro , the jumping spiders can be tricky most of the time they jump on the camera before i can take a picture .

Yeah I don't know how it was able to tolerate me being that close 😆
It is cool that you find such posers. I would likely had not even noticed them. And that ,, little'' spider already seemed to be bigger than any spider I saw live.
I always watch out on any macro worthy subjects cos they're just interesting. But also maybe I'm just observant too that I notice any changes in stuff no matter how small
The closeups came really nice, you could use lens to find out what it that insect, or if you have a reddit account they have a sub to find insects names!
That insects on the glass are quite creepy, maybe spider eggs just opened ?
I searched earlier and there was a same image in the result but it doesn't seem right since when I researched that name without the image, I couldn't find anything similar to it. So I just didn't bother 😅
Maybe, but they also don't look like spiders. They seem like those aphids found on plants.
The grasshopper seems to fit well with the reddish color of the baby leaf.
Oh, did you see the shape of the eyes?! Reminds me of most alien movies :D
Maybe that's why it was there cos it thought it can hide from me!😆 The eyes really does remind me of an alien :D
Cool pictures.
I wonder what those seed like things were on the window.
Bug eggs most probably😅
That baby grasshopper on the baby leaf!! It’s like a mini photoshoot for bugs 😭📸 Nature’s adorable, fr.
Haha yeah it knew how to pose😆
There are lots of tiny insects. I don't even know how he spotted that little grasshopper. I probably wouldn't have noticed it. That tiny spider looks like it's going to turn into a hunter when it grows up lol.
I'm always on the lookout for some insects especially on plants cos they look good on macro 🤣
The spider tho doesn't grow anymore. It's just tiny like that :D
Oh then it's cute 😂
Super cool photos! I especially like the little grass hopper and the spider. Its really quite fascinating to see all of the beautiful little details of these tiny creatures. I am glad you took the time to show us a bit of this mysterious world, which is often invisible to us as we walk past, distracted by our daily lives.
