Street shots in Bangkok

DSCF1813.jpg

Shot with Fuji X-T4, 23mm

I love street photography although I don't really have much courage for it yet. I mostly just take shots of buildings and the whole environment rather than more close-up shots of people. I don't know, for some reason I just think they'd get offended with the stolen photos even though there's a lot of tourist photographers around anyway lol.

Since my 23mm lens is wide and really small, it's the lens that I brought with me. A little part of me wish I brought my 50mm f/1 lens with me even though it's almost 1 kilo heavy just to take some nice shots of people. But maybe it was better that way since we were walking a lot.

I like the skywalk(?) or this thing that connects BTS and the malls. It creates an interesting light situation resulting in a dramatic vibe.

The moon showed up a couple of times in my shots despite the tall buildings around. If I had a lens that can zoom pretty far it would look really awesome. :D

Across the street there's literally a police station there lol so I don't know how these Thai taggers did these. XD

This was taken somewhere close to Wat Arun. I'm surprised the creek is not that dirty. :D

These are all pretty good shot. Street photography is the best, especially you get to captured those what caught your attention on the way.

I love your street photography! You have a great eye for interesting details and compositions. I especially like the way you capture the light and shadows in your photos.

I can understand why you might be hesitant to take close-up shots of people. It can be awkward to ask permission to take someone's photo, and you don't want to make them feel uncomfortable. However, I think you could get some really great shots if you were able to overcome your fear.

I also think you would enjoy using a longer lens for street photography. It would allow you to take more discreet shots of people without getting too close to them.

Thank you!! Yeah I was thinking that too, if I have zoom lenses maybe I can do the photography better. I guess that's the commonly used too. I was thinking wide lenses are for everything, apparently not. :D

I haven't been to Bangkok but heard about the malls. I predicted the street is going to be crowded but the pictures give a movie effect. TOTAL DRAMATIC! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

It is indeed crowded but surprisingly not that overwhelming. Maybe cos people just come and go and constantly walking, that's why you can't really feel it haha. Thank you!
