Mangroves stuff

Now you've seen some of the beach stuff, let's see what the mangroves area looks like.

This tiny island in particular is home to a lot of mangroves which are an important part of the sea ecosystem.

In every mangroves area, there will always be these tiny stuff growing haha. That's why you can't really swim in these areas cos you also have to be careful around them.

I don't know if that's just coin-sea-dence or someone put that sand dollar there haha but looks like one of those carnival games.

Sometimes I would see these random... shells(?) on leaves.

Mangroves areas are usually where some nasty stuff lives as well. Back to the main island where mangroves also grow, we found these crabs on the ground which if I was there, I doubt I would be able to take a close-up photo of anyway. Can you find them?

Here's a photo of the two of them that I just cropped to oblivion. Although there is also one on the top. Their claws are so big you'd wonder how they're able to carry that lol.

Mangroves are so fickle and fragile. It is good to see that these are healthy. So often, they're neglected, though.

Locally, there are some Mangroves on public land, part of a national park sort of thing. They have been dying (due to human causes) for... several years. And no one wants to do anything about it.

It isn't like that land is good for anything else - it is, after all, a place that links to the salt-pans, which means that ecologically, its just doing what it does.

So much bird habitat is gone because of this, and so much biodiversity, too.

That's pretty sad. Good thing this is a marine protected area, and now knowing they're fragile it makes sense. I love that even on the main island, they seem to not touch the mangroves as well.

Ohhh, I just noticed the color of each photo, I love the vibe in it. They're so pretty! And it's been a long time since I last see Mangrove trees. During my last visit in the nearby beach in our Barangay, I didn't see any. Saduuuu

Yeah I didn't realize not everywhere has mangroves since I see it here often. Really good job that some areas are being well taken care of and I don't see random kids playing near them or destroying the mangroves.

Haha yeah it looks so cool tho. The algae is so green and it shows nice contrast with the mangroves. A 5 minute boat ride from the main island. :D

I once visited a mangrove sanctuary, and it really opened my eyes to how important mangroves are. Everything made sense — their role in the ecosystem is truly vital.💚

Love the mangroves pics! Those lil crabs are so sneaky, I almost missed em.

The sand dollar part made me laugh, total coin-sea-dence 😂 Nature is weird n cool at the same time. Awesome shots!

They're so easy to miss unless you're really still and looking for something to move lol.

A wonderful and accurate look at what can be observed in a mangrove swamp, the photos you showed are striking, interesting and fantastic, even those crabs look great.
