Chatuchak squirrels
I still remember the very first time I saw a squirrel in the streets of Bangkok. We just got our Starbucks coffee and started walking back to the hotel when I saw a squirrel on the tree just beside the road. I was so surprised that I let a very loud gasp that it scared the shit out of the squirrel and it ran away to the wires of Bangkok streets. I mean, in a park sure I would be wowed to see tiny lil squirrels but honestly I was really caught off guard to see them so randomly on the streets. It's one part of Bangkok that I really had no idea about and haven't heard them from anyone or anywhere ever. Squirrels just roam around even in the urban setting lol.
When you walk in the streets of Bangkok, there's a low chance you will encounter one of them. Most particularly in a place when there are trees around. But, if you go parks, the chance is higher and it's almost like a guarantee that you will see at least one.
You should expect to see pigeons, monitor lizards, and squirrels in parks.
We went to Chatuchak park to walk around and there they are... jumping and climbing on trees lol.
I brought with me my 80mm lens this time since I was expecting squirrels and to take macro photos of plants and flowers.
The squirrels are so fucking cute LOL. Especially when they climb the trees. They just remind me of Mew and how he spreads his legs when he's on the floor chillin'.
The nice thing about them is they don't seem that afraid of humans. When they see you get a bit close, they will look at you and go down the tree and stop to look at you again... then swiftly run towards you but still cautious. As if they are expecting something.
They are so cute when they do that hahaha. Especially when they look at you and wait patiently. Like saying "uhhmm, where's my food?".
Which I think what they are actually expecting. Last time I went here, some guy was feeding one of them. They don't get too close to human though.
I really like the sharpness of the image but ugh the out-of-focus is so annoying. I don't think it's the lenses' fault but my camera. I saw a lot of comments about Fuji X-T5's autofocus being so weird and randomly causes you problems but somehow I forgot to update it's firmware lol. So this is why I missed a lot of chances to focus the squirrel's face.
I wanna squish it. XD
The way they look at you while they're holding onto the tree. Do you even have a spine bruh.
They would really go back and forth when you're there lol. They're kinda afraid of you but they need food so they will wait and hope maybe you got something but also woops they gotta run away too just in case.
Hello!
just kidding
Hello again
got something for me?
This dude stayed with me for quite some time. He was disappointed I didn't have anything tho. XD
He definitely loves the attention though. 😂 Or he was also just hoping maybe this guy will have something.
They are I believe 4 different squirrels in the photos. They just have the same behavior of waiting for food. XD If you visit Bangkok, go to their parks and maybe you'll see them. :D
Wow, Cute model for wilderness photography
Indeed lol he got some nice poses
I believe they're intelligent creatures just like rats. Well, they're irresistibly cute and I wonder if we can domesticate them to be our pets. They seem to be very interested in humans.
I think we can, at least I've seen a few of them online having them as pets but probably not recommended dunno lol. Yeah they're pretty clever as well
Maybe because they're hyper? They look like rats or maybe far from that but I want to see squirrels in real life
So cute!

I am really amazed by how beautiful this photography looks
Thank you!
Beautiful. In Bangkok, they also have grey squirrels and treeshrews (looking and behaving like squirrels).
Heeyyyy that's what we saw lol. We were wondering if that was a squirrel or a rat or something 😂 Long after we realized it definitely wasn't a squirrel but acts like one
This squirrel looks so beautiful.
He does :D
The photos are excellent. The squirrels there love the attention. I see a lot of squirrels in the village too, but they usually run away from me XD
It looks great, I wish I had such a smart squirrel in my garden, you are perfect my friend. @hiddenblade
Wow, amazing photography. The squirrel is good at styling and looks very cute.
