I think I've been to that exact spot where you are. Is that the old fire tower lookout?
Long ago, I lived in Reno for 3 years and spent as much time as I could hiking / skiing around Tahoe.

Correct!!! It has a great view up there.
I spend a decent amount of time in Reno... But yeah, the hiking and skiing up here is hard to beat.
