Spring Is In The Air

The Awakening

While the crypto market seems to be awakening, I see nature coming back to life around me. Every year I write a blog at least about how happy I am with the first signs of spring that appear after such a long, cold, gray, gloomy winter. And this year is no different. Once again I am very happy that we can almost leave those long, gloomy, dark days behind us. And this weekend we already got a very nice foretaste of the coming spring. It was wonderful, the gray days of the past were finally over for a while. For the first time in a long time, the sun shone and the temperature rose above 15 degrees...

And that meant that we immediately put our garden chairs outside this weekend and sat outside with the dogs... in the sun! After such a gray, gloomy, rainy time, God, how nice it is to feel the sun on your face again. You warm up for the first time in a while. No heat does this better than the heat of the sun. And it is even more beautiful when you look around and suddenly see the first signs of spring everywhere around you.

Going For A Scooter Ride

It doesn't happen often that I have to go and can't postpone it until my partner is back home with the car, but this is the case twice this week. I cannot postpone both appointments until a time when my partner is at home, and I do not want to ask him to go to work by scooter. So as a result I had to see if the scooter would still start after it had been standing still for a long time. I don't need it until Tuesday and Wednesday, but I didn't want to have to deal with the problem on Tuesday that the scooter wouldn't start, and my partner wasn't there to see what the problem could be. LOL. Fortunately, I finally got the scooter started. It took some effort, but it worked. When I tried to start the scooter, I suddenly saw the cheerful yellow flowers of the Forsythia blooming. It immediately feels cheerful. Some Daffodils already have a flower, others are in buds. The tulips are carefully showing their heads above the ground, still close in the bud, but they are coming. The blue grapes were already showing their flowers, and as a final surprise, I already saw a plum tree blossom. These are all signs that nature is awakening again.

And that idea also makes me wake up from a kind of hibernation. I immediately get more energy when I look outside and the sun is shining. The world looks a little less gloomy for a moment and the negativity that is floating around seems a little further away for a moment. For some reason, spring makes me feel like the world is still full of promise. This is the time of renewal, of hope and expectation, and in that spirit, I cannot continue to think negatively.

Embracing The World

These are moments when I want to embrace the world around me, the moments I want to cherish, and the moments that make me want to enjoy everything I have, but also the moments that make me realize how precious nature is. And as we sat outside with the dogs running and playing around us, sipping our coffee, we thought about the wonderful coming time. The time when our garden has come to life again, we are nicely hidden in the greenery and blooming flowers. The time when we will see edible fruits on the plants again. The plants I'm talking about are still small plants, nurtured in small growing containers on a heating plate... We still have to wait about two months before they can go outside, but I already can't wait for that time.

Bye Bye Winter

It will take a while, but the promise of a nice spring and summer lies ahead of us. Fortunately, the long cold winter is almost behind us. In any case, this weekend was a weekend to cherish, to enjoy the first moment of drinking coffee outside in the sun. And this weekend it felt like a new beginning. The beginning of Spring 2024!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! And I completely get that feeling. It was lovely to be outside, to shake those freaking depressed winter feelings off.

I'm already seeing snowdrops, crocus and now daffodils peeking out. And with life coming to the crypto market gives us all a bit of optimism in these troubled times. I was about to do some re-potting of my Strawberries but it just started to pour rain. Leaving it for tomorrow. Take care @hetty-rowan
