Skipper, Our Rough Dog With Scorpio Soul

On a super uninspired day, I once again made the mistake of reading the regular news. I was bombarded with negative news reports. And many of the reactions under those messages made me sigh deeply because of the stupidity, selfishness, and unjustified envy that I saw. It's as if there isn't an ounce of compassion or intelligence left. When I also felt my inspiration and good mood disappear like snow in the sun, I fortunately decided to do something else. Inspiration to do something creative wasn't there because of this joke, so I just had to think about what I am going to create as the next Pyrography piece.

I was burning the constellations. And after Capricorn and Aquarius, I have to decide which zodiac sign is next. The first two were easy. Me and my partner's zodiac sign, but then? Finally, the dogs gave me the solution. In the world of astrology, it is not just humanity that falls under cosmic influence. Our dogs are also believed to be under the influence of their respective star signs. And they too, it seems, have the associated properties and peculiarities. Because I wanted to know if something was correct, I immediately decided to look up Myla and Skipper's zodiac signs.

So let's take a look at how astrology, with a nod to entertainment, can give us insight into the personality of our Myla and Skipper. Now of course I have to say right away that astrology for dogs can be fun, maybe funny, and you may think it applies to your dog, but it NEVER replaces the need to educate your dog. I really want to emphasize that, bringing a dog into your home also means building a bond with him and spending time training and raising him.

Okay, now the first thing we're going to do today is take a look at our Skipper. He turns out to be a Scorpio, and with him in particular I saw a lot in the description that immediately made me think; "Unbelievable, but this is completely correct." For example, Scorpio dogs appear to be considered extremely loyal and curious. And I don't think this is that special. Most dogs I know are loyal and curious. But the next thing I read I thought it became a bit more exciting.

If you treat the Scorpio dog well from an early age, you will be rewarded with a lifelong commitment. But be warned: these dogs are sensitive. If they are treated poorly, it may take a long time before they regain trust.

And this part could have been going on with our Skipper. We did not buy him as a puppy, he came to us as a rehomer. And although his loyalty now knows no bounds, we can say that it took quite some time to earn his trust and gain his loyalty.

The Scorpio dog is also a natural watchdog, confident and alert. They are quick to respond to challenges and can be intimidating to other dogs. But beneath that rough shell lies a sensitive soul.

This piece is also very recognizable. Skipper is a real watchman, unfortunately, he often exaggerates this. He certainly tries to intimidate other dogs, and not just dogs but all other animals. But this also means that he quickly becomes overstimulated and therefore needs rest to recover. His sensitivity that he also has makes this a little worse. And that also makes it difficult for me to direct him. Being strict is sometimes necessary, but he cannot act TOO strict. You can't be strict enough either, because then he will laugh at me.

Then you suddenly ask yourself, are you the right match as owner and dog in terms of astrology? But luckily I don't have to worry about that. It turns out that a Capricorn owner suits a Scorpio dog very well. Well, that's a relief!

And of course, I enjoy looking at astrology in a slightly different way. Usually, when we think about astrology at all, we only think about our zodiac sign or that of our partner. But I also liked seeing it from the dogs' perspective. Especially now that it turned out to be so striking for Skipper. Although in the end, it doesn't matter to me which sign Skipper was born under. He lives here in our home and our hearts. He is our dog and we will do everything we can for him. Patience, love, and attention are the most important ingredients for a long, happy, and healthy relationship with each other, no zodiac sign can change that.

But I still enjoyed checking it out, if only because I had to figure out which zodiac sign I'm going to burn next. I have made my choice as soon as I receive my new birch tree discs the Scorpio will be burned on the wood. Thanks to Skipper!
