5 days without a blog!

Whether that is a disaster, or whether I leave it for what it is, I don't quite agree with myself yet. But anyway I thought it was time today to bother you with a messy blog when I actually just suffer from a lack of inspiration. And my brain is overflowing with the 1001 things I try to do simultaneously. Today I take you into a world where gaming, photography, and dogs meet. Prepare for the haziness that seems to shape my days this week.

My new PC is a beast for me!

Let's start with my new PC. I am absolutely sure that I did not buy the absolute top. You can't expect that with an I5 processor, and no, I don't have a GPU costing thousands of euros in it either. But for me, it's a big upgrade from what I had and for me, the thing is just a beast that opens up possibilities for me that I could only dream of before! And that has brought a few changes to my daily activities. Instead of being a neat, productive blogger, I'm now enthusiastically browsing Steam to see what's out there and what I like to do. It looks like I could just become a gamer. My partner, who has always been an avid gamer, is thrilled that I am now taking an interest in his virtual adventures as well. I have to say that this is actually quite fun mowing down monsters together. Anyone who would have said this a month ago, I would have laughed heartily. I've always played a game here and there, but a hardcore gamer? No, I never have been. And let me be very honest… although I like it for a while now, I don't think it's going to stay that way. I know myself well enough to know that when the novelty wears off, it will wear off and I'll get back to business as usual. And the order of the day for me often consists of my furry friends.

Just a small recurring problem

Now that I'm talking about that I actually come to the following. Our Lana has decided it's time to make Skipper go crazy again. Despite having breast cancer, she is still going in heat. That's a recurring problem. And what our handsome guy Skipper thinks of that will be apparent to everyone. You understand that having an excited German Shepherd in the house is no fun. He can only be controlled with difficulty. It takes 24/7 vigilance on my part to keep everything running smoothly. I sometimes feel like a professional referee between two dogs on a rampage. Who would have thought that one-sided love could be so complicated? Because at least I'm still lucky... love is really one-sided. Lana doesn't want to know about Skipper!

Crawling out from under a digital rock

And in between all that hormonal violence, a technician for fiber optic internet had to come by yesterday. We had been sent an installation package. Plugged in and hoped it would all go well, but alas...it didn't. So the mechanic had to come to find where the problem was. Fortunately for us, it was in the central connection box and could be solved yesterday. No break in the cable thankfully! A matter of flipping a few buttons, or something like that ... I don't know. All I know is that it finally works and I feel like I've crawled out from under a digital rock. I mean, we live in the countryside where even homing pigeons seemed to be faster than our internet with an ADSL connection. As the crow flies, we're only 3 miles from the signal, but believe me, it felt like we lived on the other side of the world. Uploading a simple photo was a task that required more patience than growing a Bonsai tree. And that while I always downsized photos to make sure they were uploaded within 5 minutes. In fact, it got so bad that my partner couldn't even play a decent game without me accidentally interrupting his internet connection. But that is now really a thing of the past. And seriously, a world seems to be opening up for me. I am seriously blown away by the speed! Uploading photos is faster than Skipper can run to Lana. And believe me, that's saying something!

Everything is a bit blurry!

If you're reading this blog right now, and thinking... "My god, what a blurry story! What is she talking about?", I'll tell you, I'm asking myself that too these days. "What am I doing?" But let's face it, all of this has taken a toll on my insomnia. I have to be focused all the time like I have eyes in the back of my head. Meanwhile, I try to go about my daily chores while blocking a dog every five minutes. The good news is that none of this will last forever. My partner is going on vacation soon, and although it's a coincidence, it seems like he's decided to adapt his vacation to the chaos in the house. By the time his holidays come, the dogs will have returned to their normal behavior. And that means that I can recover myself for a while. I'm really looking forward to getting out and enjoying some photography adventures. Now that uploading is no longer such a drama, my motivation to be involved with it will certainly go to a higher level.

Slowdown Skipper!

So all I have to do now is make sure we get through these next few days, meanwhile, I'm trying to teach Skipper to take an example of our old internet speed. Slow down! Maybe I can teach him some tricks for pausing between his fast sprints. Then Lana has time to find a safe haven.

Going back to the Kitchen.

Anyway, now it's time for me to close this blog, I'm going to retire to the kitchen, (I'm sure that if @trumpman would read this, he'd actually like that very much. Lol!). Then Lana and Myla can sleep in the living room. Skipper stays with me in the kitchen ... a little rest. And that way I can continue working on the painting I started with. The fact that I also have some rest myself is of course a nice bonus. After that, cooking a meal awaits, and the dishes are waiting for me again ...

Have a nice day everyone!

Nah, the post wasn't messy at all. I actually enjoyed it. Phew, I can only imagine trying to keep Skipper at bay 😅

Glad you enjoyed this blog. Lol... Then at least someone will enjoy this! Yes, keeping Skipper away from Lana is quite a difficult task, but it has to be done. Fortunately, it's a bit easier in the evening when we can do it together. And it wouldn't be so bad IF Lana were a dog who would actually listen when I tell her to lie down in a certain place, but of course, her hormones are making her not want to listen. And that makes the task even more difficult. If Lana doesn't listen and gets in the way, it is, of course very difficult for Skipper to keep his distance. Hopefully, it'll be back to normal soon again!
