I was thinking of coming in July. I was looking at Belém at the moment, so I wouldn't be too close to the city center. But I'll also check out the areas you suggested. It seems to have a train direct to downtown.

Yes, there is a train direct to downtown, but there are other transportation alternatives that you can check up. The tram, the bus, and even Uber, in certain time frames can be a cheap option. It is not far away. But see the other place alternatives, since Belém can be a little bit pricy.
