One of the main problems that most countries face is poverty. It is through agriculture that this problem can be eradicated. This is because when people are able to get food, they are also able to get out of poverty.
In addition to all of that, agriculture also plays a vital role in our economy by providing jobs for millions of people.

Agriculture is the mainstay of the environment -

Agriculture is the backbone of the environment. It is because of this sector that the environment is able to maintain its balance. This is because agriculture helps in the conservation of forests, wildlife and water resources.

I believe we've seen some of the importance of agriculture and why we need it, especially in Africa.
