Ipiranga Zoological Museum // Museu zoológico de Ipiranga

Hello friends, I hope you are well, I am going to share with you a small walk that I took with my mother in a zoological museum here in Sao Paulo, this museum is part of the University of Sao Paulo so it has a public area with free access and a restricted area only for zoology students, this was a quick visit since we didn't really plan to go to the museum, my mom was going to do some blood tests and when we passed through the area we saw the museum when I searched on the internet and I saw that Admission was free, I said, you have to take advantage of it hehehe.

In it we find various types of species, some of them extinct millions of years ago, others still present in our ecosystem, it is quite interesting because we can see a little the size and shape of animals from the past and compare them with those that are currently present, it is incredible As there are species (relatives) of giant size compared to the ones we currently have, a good example is in the photo of me with a large skeleton behind me, it turns out that it is a giant sloth (Megaterios). Can you imagine a larger sloth? Big than a big bear?

Something that had quite an impact on me was the aquatic animal Giant Isopod, wow I had no idea that these types of animals existed, they look like something out of an alien movie hehehe

Well, something better known, but still always interesting, are the skeletons of some dinosaurs, their impressive size is incredible.

Whenever you have the opportunity, visit museums, you will surely learn something new that day, a day without learning is a day wasted, so let's never miss the opportunity to learn something new whatever it may be 😊

Hola amigos espero que estén muy bien, voy a compartir con ustedes un pequeño paseo que hice con mi mama en un museo zoologico aquí en sao paulo, este museo es de la universidad de sao paulo por lo que tiene un área pública de libre acceso y un área restringida solo estudiantes de zoologia, esta fue una visita rápida ya que en realidad no teníamos planeado ir a museo, mi mama se iba a hacer unos exámenes de sangre y cuando pasamos por la zona vimos el museo cuando busque en internet y vi que era gratis la entra dije hay que aprovechar jejeje.

En él encontramos diversos tipos de especies, algunas de ellas extintas hace millones de años otras aun presentes en nuestro ecosistema, es bastante interesantes porque podemos ver un poco el tamaño y forma de animales del pasado y compararlos con los que actualmente están presentes, es increíble como hay especies ( parientes) de tamaño gigantes comparados con los que tenemos actualmente, un buen ejemplo es en la foto que salgo yo con un esqueleto grande detrás de mí, resulta que es de una perezosa gigante ( Megaterios) ¿se imaginan una perezosa más grande que un gran oso?

Algo que me causo bastante impacto fue el animal acuático Isopodo Gigante, caramba no tenía idea de que existían ese tipo de animales, parecen sacados de una película de extraterrestres jejeje

Bueno algo más conocido, pero igual siempre interesante son los esqueletos de algunos dinosaurios, es increíble el imponente tamaño de ellos.

Siempre que tengan la oportunidad visiten museos, con seguridad algo nuevo aprenderán ese día, un día sin aprendizaje es un día perdido, así que nunca perdamos la oportunidad de aprender algo nuevo sea lo que sea 😊
